For me, the caged Taylor is a prisoner of what others say or think of her. She is naked and bent and in the dark. Just as Taylor has been for the public opinion since the Kanye scandal.
She is a prisoner of the way how media pictures her: a powerful rich privileged woman in a horse with a dangerous dark side. Even her skin is a weapon. There is two sides of that Taylor: sheās offering a harmless vision of herself but can turn into a deadly person in a blink of an eye. And after all of this, you can see that she might be destructive but she is also still capable of creating beauty (blue lights).Ā
THERE is when the savior acts and frees the prisoner, perfectly conscious of what is she going to tie off. Something even us canāt imagine because even the savior backs off.
She comes out. She takes back control of the narrative and takes back her reputation and then becomes free. And the other one sacrifices herself to let the other one out because sheās powerful. And the one who is now free is happy and human (hence sheās crying).
The best part of it is that there is NOT two Taylors. Remember the first picture of Taylor in the video is her robot-lighted blue eyes. Itās the same Taylor. Itās Taylor freeing herself. Itās Taylor breaking every pre-conceived idea of her, claiming only her has the power to label herself or to speak for what she does or think. Itās Taylor starting a new game.
Listening to Call it what you want I picture Taylor in my mind during her break. No one would have caught even a glimpse of her for months ago except that low quality photos on a balcoon with Joe. She was wearing a pink dress and felt happy.Ā
But now paps and media would be following Joe and she would be getting anxious that all this would make him overthink about their relationship.Ā
And she would be waiting for him at home and staring at the window and she would see him walking with his head down towards her home, probably wearing a hoodie, and it would all make sense. It would make sense.Ā
Iām the one heās walking to.

Excuse me but have you heard the lyric video?Ā
Itās Taylorās handwriting vs. the newspapers typo which is like the main thing of this album as far as weāve seen. I love the concept of overwriting like thereās marks and words that you wonāt ever be able to erase. There are scars that wonāt ever disappear. But you can write over them. You can paint your skin, you can write your own words and this will be the part of you that was missing, the part of you thatās grown throughout the marks that didnāt disappear.Ā
I love you, @taylorswiftĀ

So hereās my theory about the eclipse
We already know that Taylor presses the code 2186, and that brings us to the eclipse: when Taylor blackoutedĀ all her social media and then returned with our beloved snake. My idea is that Taylor is using the eclipse as a metaphor for what sheās trying to do on Reputation. Our first single came with āThe old Taylor canāt come to the phone right now ācause sheās dead.ā That is, the old Taylor has died, she has been replaced by a new one, and the media needs to stop inventing things, making her look like a āfoolā or a monster (as we see in the music video for Ready for It just for a secondĀ before the camera turns around.
Because the real Taylor has never been this invention of the media. Itās a lie they need to create it to make money, and now sheās angry but she came back to save herself.
So here we got the both Taylors, face to face. Like itās an ECLIPSE.
Once again, one confronted with the other. But not in a bad way. Letās remember that an eclipse is a natural process of space, the planets are in continuous movement. Actually I see what sheās trying in the mv like this: in an eclipse one of the stars replaces the other. The new Taylor, this nude Taylor (this is the representation of Taylor being herself, she doesnāt need clothes, she has nothing to hide, she is not afraid anymore) will replace that old dark and monstruosity representation that the media created.
I donāt know if someone else see this but:Ā
Letās all rememer this Taylor is a survivor, sheās a fighter. And letās not forget that sheās probably the smartest person in the industry.

ā¦ready for it?
Taylor is one of the most creative people I know. It makes me feel sad to think that we are losing the shy spontaneous melodies, unchained verses, words that she makes up when sheās alone playing piano or guitar. Not the ones who end up in songs but the ones nobody will ever listen or read.Ā
