I am very pleased to announce that after 3 months of development and reviewing hundreds of feedback messages from our customers, StrikeBase 2.0 is finally ready for Primetime!
1. A Completely Redesigned Interface
âŚthatâs leaner, prettier, performs better and is much easier to use.
The Active Project Name is now more prominent on the top-left of the page, so you always know which project you are looking at as you navigate through the system.
Optimized for Widescreen monitors, the menu is now placed on the left of the page and expands as you mouse-over it. You can also Drag-reorder menu items to match your preference.
StrikeBase now comes with a Customizable Dashboard that gives you a quick overview of how your projects are progressing and the items that need your attention.
Widgets display Team Activity, Due/Delayed/Complete/Unread Tasks, upcoming Events and lots more. The position of the widgets, their configuration, size and the background of the Dashboard are customizable per user.
3. BOARDS
Boards can be effectively used to manage and organize Tasks, Issues, a Sales process flow, Marketing ideasâŚthe sky is the limit.
To better understand how a project Board works, lets consider an example in which you need to manage and coordinate Tasks on a Project with your Team.
Imagine for a moment that your team shares a giant Whiteboard in the middle of the office so that everyone has a great view of the Board from wherever they are sitting.Â
The whiteboard is divided into 3 columns --- ToDo, Doing and Done
In the planning phase of the Project, team members write down each Task on a Sticky-Note and pin it to the âToDoâ column. As they begin working on each Task they move it to the âDoingâ column and once they have completed the Task move it to the âDoneâ column.
Thatâs exactly how a Project BOARD works in StrikeBase.
We call the Columns â LISTS and the Sticky-Notes â CARDS.
~ You can create as many Lists as your workflow demands on a Board and every list can contain an infinite number of Cards. As people move Cards from one List to another, other users see the Card positions updated in real-time.
~ You can make people responsible for a Card by simply dragging and dropping their Profile Photos from the right onto the Card.
~ Clicking on a Card lets you add additional information to it including -
 * A Due Date
 * The estimated time required
 * Checklists
 * File Attachments
* Comments âŚand more
~ You can also Track Time and Log Hours on Cards that you have been assigned to.
~Â Every List has a unique email address (List-> Settings 'Gear' icon->Settings). Emails sent to that address are automatically converted into Cards.
~Â For Admins who need more control over who can do what on Lists, StrikeBase gives you a set of options that lets you configure who has Permissions to Add, Move, Delete and Edit Cards (Board Options->Permissions) on a Board
~Â If your Project requires that Cards on a List follow a certain workflow path you can setup Rules per List so that Cards on the 'Doing' column for example, can only be moved to the 'Done' column and not to any other List.
This has been one of the most requested features over the last few months. The All New, full-featured Calendar App supports everything from Custom company-wide calendars, personal events, team events to recurring events. You can also select to display the Due Dates of all the CARDS assigned to You or your Team.
A dynamic iCal feed and integration with Google Calendar is in the pipeline and will be available shortly.
We hope that you enjoy using StrikeBase v2.0 as much as we have enjoyed building it. We would love to hear what you think of the new StrikeBase via email at
