“You didn’t want to-” Lou stops and shakes her head. “Yeah well it really hurt more that you didn’t tell me. Do you honestly think I can’t handle that kind of information? I have been through plenty of shit I can handle a few vampires and werewolves. I mean for gods sake I am one and you think I couldn’t- whatever.”

Lou had thought this was somewhere she could go that he wouldn’t find her. A northern boy in the warmth of Dorne but of course politics brought him here. She had not thought of it now she had to deal with him knowing. She sees the look in his eyes all that love and while she wants to be excited she knows this isn’t good. He had ideas of them marrying before he knew of the babe now she could see it all in his eyes.

“He should be here any day now.” She tells him with a smile before she reaches a hand up to stroke his cheek. She’d missed him so much and as much as she wanted to give in to it to love him she knew she couldn’t. “I knew your men would think I was carrying your child I didn’t want it to hurt your reputation.” Lies all lies there was only him she was only with him it was his child. “We shouldn’t even be seen together when I’m like this I don’t want anyone to assume I just... I am so happy to see you.”

“You should see the kind of shit I can make now. Way better than growing plants in walls and making moonshine.      I missed you too.”

“Well… technically I was only dead for a few minutes and that was like a few months ago.   Or I am still dead– Half dead?   Being a chimera is confusing. Not dead long enough.”

not what she suspected.  but april’s not sure if it’s better or worse.  “you got married in vegas?”  her voice racks up to an octave she hasn’t hit since she was an intern.  “louisiana!  roan?  ohmygod.  you’re going to get it annulled, aren’t you?  that’s crazy.”

𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚎𝚡𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚕𝚢 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚐𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚏𝚘𝚛, but april wasn’t going to argue with that kind of logic, either.  it was a miracle in and of itself.  “things do work out, sometimes.”  fingers crossed that other things might start working out for them in the near future, too.  they could use luck and just about anything else that they could get on their sides.  it felt just a little lucky, even if it might have been harder for louisiana to see right now.  she’d be the optimistic one.

“well, someone has to be cliche,” she offered up with a smile, a sincere smile pushing upward at the corners of her lips.  “i don’t.  i think you just get all of my good ones.  and…  come on, it’s a baby.  i love babies.  and i love you.  it just kind of all works out well.”

lou feels tears start to well up in her eyes, “yeah i guess they do.” there were times she felt like things were never going to work out for her again but maybe this could be a fresh start. just her and her two kids living a happy life it was all she had wanted with del now the three of them could have it together, april was right.

𝚒𝚏 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚎𝚗𝚓𝚘𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜, 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍. this moon wasn’t what they thought it would be and april would pull what she could.  “i couldn’t do anything to change your mind.”  it hadn’t been an option and yet… it still doesn’t feel right, as though there was something she could have.  “you know i would have tried, though.  i guess that’s why you didn’t wake me.”

“You have to just leave. There are only gonna be more and more because of the noise and I can’t run anymore. It’s broken, Lou.”

He looked down at his leg, broken from the fall. They were running from the walkers as they had done hundreds of times, but this time he slipped. That’s all it takes now, one broken leg and months of surviving mean nothing. 

“Just take Delia and run.”

“Emori and Murphy are chasing them off we’ve got time for me to set your leg. When they get back we’ll take you to that church to hide out while it heals we arent’ leaving you behind.” 

Lou has been through too much with him she isn’t about to lose him now. “I told you we would stick together no matter what this is no matter what.” She gets her daughter hidden away in the little cave with them before taking supplies out of her bag. 

𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠𝚕𝚎𝚍𝚐𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚘𝚠𝚗 𝚠𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚕𝚘𝚠 𝚘𝚗 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚕𝚒𝚜𝚝.  echo shook her head.  there wasn’t time for that. emotionally, she’s not quite ready to come to terms with it either – but that’s easy to pass off and bury down to deal with at some other time altogether. or not at all.  the only emotions that she would allow herself to feel at the moment was relief for louisiana being fine and worry for the others who were not in her presence.

this time, she gave the slightest nod of her head as her thoughts spun with possible action plans.  finding the others had to be the priority.  there was strength in numbers.  strength they would need.  one many rarely won a war.  “the knife is good start,” she offered.  “we need to stick together.  they’ll be looking for another one of our people to take.”

“echo we need to make sure that you’re okay,” lou tells her. she knows that echo has a lot to worry about but they need to make sure she’s okay too. she needs to get it clean and wrapped up but they don’t have what she needs. “at least try to keep them as covered as you can.” she tells her as if that’s going to help anything.

      “then pour the drinks.”

“Fuck Kane.” Bellamy had lost too many friends to count because of that man. And now he had almost lost the most important person in his life. He could feel the anger pooling under his skin, but he had to focus on Lou.

“Alright, alright, just lie down. You aren’t going to get better trying to save everyone.” He pulled himself out from under her and peeled the jacket from himself and placed it under her head. “Just breathe.”

Bellamy rushed through the other rooms. In every single one, he saw carnage and death. Some of their own and in one room, the mutilated body of a human. He wished that he was still alive so that he could kill him again, but he didn’t see anyone alive. He waited for a moment before going back to Lou, sending a quick message to Murphy.

Kneeling down to her, he brushed his fingers through her hair. “Lou, I didn’t find anyone else. But Murphy is on his way and we are gonna get you home and I am gonna start cleaning things up. You need to rest.”

“I have to I- I need to help them, Bell.” Lou tells him as she tries to get up. He lays her down and she gives him a look she has to go. She’s supposed to be a leader but all she can do now is lay there helplessly. Her body is trying to heal but it’s going to take a while she knows it she’s in so much pain.

She waits trying to listen but she doesn’t hear anything she kno0ws before he even comes back in that everyone is dead. People they had found looking for a home or who they had turned. These people were their family and in an instant they were all dead.

Tears fall as he kneels down next to her they’re all gone everything they had built in pieces. She shakes her head reaching out to take his hand. “I want both of you back at home with me. You two are all I have left I can’t lose either of you.” She presses a kiss to the back of his hand as she looks up at him.
