the thing was, ellie had definitely noticed the other following a while back - when you're a young, single mom it paid to be hypervigilant. she wasn't sure what the other's motives were exactly but there was something in her that told they weren't malicious, the girl has had plenty of time to strike if they were. still though, she kept her bag clutched tight to her side, one hand hovering over her phone in her pocket - ready to call hannah on speed dial if necessary.

       IF SHE HADN'T WANTED to be seen, cat could have certainly kept a lower profile. whilst she wasn't the most noticeable of folk out there, her mussy looks and clear signs of a "situation" still made her STAND OUT more so than she would have preferred. when she put her mind to it, the street rat could be hidden, but the intention with the present interaction hadn't been to sneak up. keep a low profile? sure. but s c a r e the daylights out of the other? cat wasn't that cruel. at least not to the every day person.

            allowing the doll to be passed over, hands came back to her own body, twining together and scratching at the dry skin there. though the figure was familiar, the movie remained unwatched, and any comment on the character - or any inquiry on who it might be - was locked in the base of her throat. the assurance only enticed a dry laugh to tumble out instead.
