House is the main character, but we aren’t always in House’s head and I find that very interesting. We as viewers are mostly observing from a third party point of view rather than seeing things from House’s eyes. Like for example, when House was on methadone, we all found out at the same time Wilson did. When he faked having cancer, we only found out he was faking when the ducklings did. Thats why I find episodes like Houses Head/House Divided so interesting because we get to see how he things and actually delve into his brain. Seeing Anne Dudek say all of his thoughts out loud in season 5 changed my life the first time I saw it and I’m serious. I just find his thought process so fascinating. His brain is basically one big game of word association. I’m so enthralled with this fucking weirdo.

I love so much that house is just sleepy all of the time. Every time his fellows argue too loudly in the conference room, no matter what time of day, he’s yelling at them for waking him up. He sends his team off to run tests first thing in the morning and then goes straight to his office to take a nap. He sleeps in his office chair, at his desk, on the couch in Wilson’s office, in exam rooms, just anywhere he can really. Like 15% of the show is just House sleeping and it’s so great. Every episode he’s just like honk shoo mi mi mi the entire time. The only episodes I remember him being awake the whole time for are the pilot, MAYBE euphoria, and most of the hallucination arc in season 5.
