do you wanna know how I make cool flags like these?

1. CONCEPT
I usually start with a concept. this could be anything. it could be the definition or the colours I'd like to use. sometimes it's just "wow, I wanna make a flag with a cow on it, cus I like cows" it doesn't have to be super specific, just an idea.
For this demonstration I will use the concept of a camera.
2. SYMBOL
You don't have to have a symbol on your flag but I like to. there's so many websites you can use to find PNG's, I'd recommend thenounproject as it gives you the option for lineart or solid PNG's.
3. COLOURS
This is my favourite step, I love colours so much. if you don't know how to make a good colour palette or if you simply don't want to, (there is no shame in that, don't worry) you can always find something on Pinterest, Pinterest is your friend!!
I usually use a colour palette with 7 colours because my template has 7 stripes, but you can use however many you'd like!
4. ASSEMBLING THE BASE
We now have the beginnings of the base of our flag. we will put everything on top of this. I like to keep my bases relatively simple so that way I can put as much detail on top as I'd like without it getting messy.
Now we have our coloured base! you can have a gradient going up or down or going outwards or inwards or you can have any matter of combinations! it's really up to you
5. THE SYMBOL (again)
Once you've imported your symbol you can resize it and put it wherever you'd like on your flag. (though the centre is typically the default)
We are now done with the bare bones of the flag. now we get to do the fun part.
6. THE FUN PART
I like to use frames to add some interest to the edge of the flag so it isnt a harsh line, because I find it boring and I want some interest!
Depending on the vibe I either use the spiky frame or the scalloped frame to change how the stripes are shaped. you can add then to all the stripes to give a cool effect. for example, JamJoule (link) uses the scalloped frame on the top stripes and the spiky frame on the bottom one.
This is another way I make my flags look nice, you'll see this on nearly all of my flags. I like to colour these rows one of it's neighboring colours so it stays cohesive, you can use another colour with a significantly lighter or darker hue to add contrast.
7. THE COMPLETION (link to the flag post)
All thats left to do is give it a definition if you havent already and give it a name.
I love a good portmanteau so I usually mash two words together, ideally one that ends with the same letters that the other word starts with and boom, you're done!

-manifestic: a suffix to describe when one type of attraction manifests as a separate type of attraction.
For example, sexumanifestic: a general term for when non-sexual attraction manifests or presents itself as sexual attraction. Intended for those on the aro-spec, but not required.
Romantimanifestic: a general term for when non-romantic attraction manifests or presents itself as romantic attraction. Intended for those on the ace-spec, but not required.
This can also be changed for when someones a-spec/lack of attraction presents itself as a form of attraction, or when someones attraction presents itself as a-spec/lack of attraction.
Can also become more specific, such as romantic attraction presenting sexually, or queerplatonic attraction presenting aesthetically, though I'm not sure how these words would be structured. Perhaps the real/actual attraction first and the manifested attraction second, such as romantisexumanifestic: romantic attraction manifesting/presenting as sexual attraction?

Definition: a term for someone whose primary gender identity is "transgender" and/or "transsexual". Someone who identifies as transgender gender may or may not identify as a more specific gender (such as trans man, transfem, agender, etc), but the most important or influential part of their identity is still "transgender" and/or "transsexual". This person may also experience dysphoria when perceived as anything except transgender/transsexual, and may feel as though they would have been transgender/transexual no matter the sex they were born. However, neither of these are required.
Self-indulgent, as I feel as though I'm "trans" first and foremost, and the rest of my gender is a less-important afterthought. Coined before? Consider this an alt! Feel free to make a flag, but credit me via tagging!

Definition: Someone who identifies as both transgender and transsexual, in some way. This could be simply being both transgender and transsexual, being transgender and trissexual, being trisgender and transsexual, being trisgender and trissexual, or anything similar. The only requirement is identifying as some form of both.

This is both a sort of recoin of the term trisspecies, while simultaneously attempting to create a solid definition for trisspecies because I haven't been able to find one. Feel free to make flags; transspecies isn't as popular in the mogai community as other nonhuman labels.
My definitions are anti-radqueer and/or radqueer-critical. I am not radqueer.
Transspecies: identifying as and/or transitioning toward a species that is not the one you were born as.
Cisspecies: identifying as the species you were born as
Trisspecies: being both transspecies and cisspecies; and/or being somewhere between transspecies and cisspecies; and/or fluctuating between transspecies and cisspecies

Definition: A -songic gender connected to the song "My Mother's Savage Daughter" by Wyndreth Berginsdottir.
This gender is not necessarily Feminine in Nature, but often is.
Despite being a song inspired by Viking and Scandinavian culture, it is not exclusive to those who are of Scandinavian descent: Berginsdottir states that, "[My Mother's Savage Daughter] is an anthem of empowerment--not a song meant to serve a specific blood or people or skin. If you find strength and power and your own voice in it, this is your song and i hope you sing it with the strength and rage and beauty and power that is within you--whoever you are." This coining reflects the same principles.
