if you are ever playing a game and you think ‘hey maybe i should delete some old saves’ do NOT. you will get stuck in a horrible unwinnable death loop because you can’t win the fight but you can’t go back to a save where you could buy supplies and you’ve invested too much time to start the game over

#I like Ethan but I kind of wish re8 had been about her yknow #imagine going through all the stuff that Ethan goes through in game but with the added element of it kind of being your fault #like. you took on a shady job and you kept it from your husband #and as a result an entire family dies and your husband is turned to mold. oops.#you move on you try to forget about it (but all he wants to do is talk about it)#and you can’t tell him about the mold thing because then you have to think about how he would still be alive and human if it wasn’t for you #and then he’s shot right in front of you #and your baby is taken by your old boss #and you have to go and fight for her while knowing none of this would’ve happened if you just hadn’t taken on that job.#the guilt!#you were supposed to protect both of them from all of this but instead it keeps coming back to haunt you #I haven’t actually finished 8 yet but I just really like her #and we know from that flashback in 7 that she’s pretty competent #she could do it I think

i’m sooo torn on what i want my ‘canon’ dao ending to be because ON THE ONE HAND. Sinna and alistair staying together as gray wardens is probably their ‘happy’ ending. BUT. a part of me really really wants her to force him to be king/marry anora and dump him instead… if there’s one thing I love it’s self sabotage <3 and messy breakups <3 that’s two things

Of course there’s a secret third option where she does all that and then sacrifices herself in the end game,,, in a ‘if I completely remove myself from your life it won’t hurt you when I’m gone’ kind of way which, of course, doesn’t work,

#even if i don’t go the tragedy route I do think she starts pulling away from people when she realizes #that she might end up having to die for the blight to end #and some of those relationships never completely recover I think #in my head she cares a lot but she’s also very selfish #and she will do absolutely anything to avoid having hard conversations with people #or being confronted
