Despite being on hiatus, I wanted to make this urgent post regarding my former involvement in the Zeddyziverse fandom.

I left the fandom about six months ago because I was genuinely experiencing emotional burnout and feeling absolutely awful. I had fallen out of love with these projects, grown up, and moved on from them, but for a long time I couldn’t bring myself to leave the fandom. I spent two years there, and leaving felt strange and wrong, but I did it, and I felt better afterwards. Since then, I haven’t followed Zi’s work at all, only the fandom itself, meaning a few people I was still subscribed to, but eventually I stopped doing that as well.

Today, however, I decided to check Twitter for the first time in a very long time, and the first thing I saw was that Zi had commissioned artwork from a Russian artist (or at least someone I assume is Russian. I don’t know who they are exactly, but they run a Telegram channel in Russian, and for me that is enough).

For me, supporting Russians and especially paying them money is unacceptable. This may come as a shock to some of you, but that money will be spent on food, clothes, or other purchases, and those same funds will eventually become taxes that help finance the missiles being launched at civilians in my country. Just recently there were horrific attacks. The kindergarten I attended as a child was nearly destroyed. Not long ago, Russians destroyed several important museums dedicated to Ukrainian culture. My great-grandmother and great-grandfather lived under Russian occupation. Every single day I worry about my friends and relatives and pray that they remain safe and unharmed. I cannot calmly accept someone who chooses to give money to Russians.

Because of this, I will no longer draw Ramshackle or Pine Point content. Ever. I will delete most of my artwork and only keep a few favorite pieces that I care about too much to remove.

I am not judging the people who are still part of the fandom. I know that many of you are talented, creative, and genuinely wonderful people, and I am sincerely grateful for your support and the time you spent with me. I value it more than I can express. I simply want to explain why I do not support Zeddyzi.

I understand that many of you may not agree with me or understand my perspective, but this is important to me. I have my own principles, beliefs, and boundaries, and I do not want people who support the enemies of my country within my comfort zone.

I wanted to let you know that I’m planning to go on hiatus. I probably won’t be active here or on my Telegram channel until at least the end of July for mental health reasons. It’s also possible that, in the future, I’ll keep running this account mostly for myself — meaning I won’t be drawing out of guilt toward whatever fandom I’m in anymore (which is why I don’t plan on returning to the Zeddyziverse at all).

If you’re curious, I’ve got a lot of plans!

I want to focus on studying, improving my mental health and social life, and working on the stage adaptation of Good Omens that I’m writing as a way to learn scriptwriting :)

And I’m trying to keep moving forward.

Yesterday I performed in a terrible play, I’m watching Doctor Who and documentaries with Philomena Cunk, learning how to cook, reading Good Omens and Sherlock Holmes, officially became a Plastun (a Ukrainian Scout), and a bunch of other things! I still feel awful, but these little moments are helping me feel better :3

I’ll still post videos on TikTok from time to time because I enjoy it, but you probably shouldn’t expect to see me here for quite a while.

WIP

From the very beginning, all three main characters of Destruction Island (Beelzee, Mona, Belph) were portrayed as being somewhat like biblical angels before becoming human. I wanted to use this metaphor to show how people undergoing immigration “lose their wings” and the home that once felt like paradise or heaven. After all, one of the project’s main themes is the immigrant experience and the emotional impact of forced migration, so it's literally feels like loosing wings and ability to fly
