Town of L’Montagne, Kitchikamy: in 1865, one of the first settler towns to be established west of the Second Grant, the local surveying was done on an extremely provisional basis, with numerous long-dead squatters having permanently interrupted the perfect grid laid out by the National Common Lands Survey.
Of the five elevators seen here, only one remains standing, still operated by the Royal Kitchikamy Trade Commission.

Mispon is an entirely fictional drawn-from-scratch one-afternoon one-off side project, based on the various settled lakes of Northern Canada. In Mispon, the Cree language has clearly outbalanced English, like a chilly northern Paraguay: the culture is frontierish, the railway hasn’t connected the place with the outside world yet, and the demographics are remarkably mixed.
I’ll never actually do anything with it, but I sure do like fake geography!

The Free and Just Province of Kanamonta is an archetypical chunk of the prairies, designed after a variety of real places and a few fake ones. A not-so-large central city holds absolute dominion over a region whose landmass is upwards of 90% cultivated...
In 1848, the Commonwealth of New Columbia purchased the Manitou Territory from its eponymous holding company, which had been intentionally discouraging agricultural settlement in their lands in order to keep trading profitable: by 1859, the resulting rush of settlement up the Great Manitou River caused the Kanamonta and Natimik Territories to be partitioned away from the rest. Continuously growing in population and importance, Kanamonta achieved provincehood in 1893, and has served as the progressive heart of the prairies ever since.

The Columbia City Metro is, to date, the first and only transit map I’ve ever done. The city itself is a Montreal-on-St.-Louis mashup of some 6M+ souls, all thanks to a slightly misplaced Ozark.
As the seat of the New Columbian federal government, English, French, and Spanish have all been spoken in an artificially maintained balance here since the city’s foundation in 1833. Does the network actually serve the suburbs properly? Don’t ask hard questions (this was drawn mostly as a way to get out of having to actually make a geographically accurate depiction of an entirely fictional city).
