I've been revisiting the Arcana again and I'm having sooo much fun re-discovering the characters again. While I have some personal gripes about Lucio's route, I had a lot of fun making an apprenticesona who is kind of flawed but grows WITH Lucio throughout his route

Getting the obvious out of the way he’s not only undead but he’s resurected in the most beautifully macabre and haunting way ever.

His charector is so foundationaly tied to class struggle and defending minorities. Insanly goth considering its punk roots and countercultural ideals.

Classic literature….NEED I SAY MORE. I can’t believe ppl don’t portray him loving Frankenstein more it’s literally perfect for him. His classics loving ass def LOVESS gothic horror.

Lastly

The overall vibes are perf. There’s no way that man doesn’t deeply appreciate the beauty in darker things. All bro talks about is how he died LMHJH. Also aesthetically obv Gotham and Batman related stuff already has gothic culture intertwined in it but Jason’s costuming specifically adds that layer of diy in such a simple but effective way.

Overall

The suitors are gone. The palace has fallen silent.

Odysseus stands there, covered in red from head to toe. The emptiness in his chest had only grown deeper with each released arrow, each scream of the victims.

He lifts his head, and his gaze falls upon the stone owl he had built long ago. An altar for his guardian, his mentor. He steps forward, staring emptily at the statue, and suddenly he feels her.

She stands to his right, her energy and presence unmistakable.

Athena looks down upon him, almost through him, a certain sadness in her eyes. They say nothing.

The goddess can't help but wonder whether all of this could have been avoided, had they not fought all those years ago. She can't help but wonder if she could prevent the same thing from happening again.

Maybe they could do that together.
