Summary:

Reader and their girlfriend go to the bank. They have a run in with Calamity Ashe and her crew.

You were waiting for your girlfriend to get done with extracting some money from her account. You love her so much and had just moved here with her. The lines took forever to get to her, but you could wait. All of a sudden the doors burst open with a loud bang. Through the smoke you saw a woman slowly walk forward with some humans and comics follow after her.

She had pale hair cut in a straight bob, red lips, and a black cowboy hat that covered her eyes. When you did see her eyes you noticed they were an odd color. They were a beautiful crimson. Their blood red eyes scanned the room and stopped on you. They looked you up and down before saying, "Go get the girl B.O.B" while pointing at you.

You froze in fear as "B.O.B" picked you up and brought you over to were hee was originally standing. " Hey! You leave her alone!" your girlfriend yelled at the mysterious woman. The woman had a snarl on her face and aimed her gun at her. Your girlfriend froze in fear. "Who are you to her?" the woman asked.

"I won't say anything about who I am, until you tell me who you are." your girlfriend replied, her voice shaky. "Oh well I guess you must be new around these parts," she started "the name's Ashe, Calamity Ashe.". Your girlfriend paled at those words. Of course you two had heard of Calamity Ashe. You moved here from not too far away, but still far enough to not have had your towns banks get robbed by her and her crew, The Infamous Deadlocks.

"Now what are you to her?!" Ashe snarled. "I'm her girlfriend." she said, fearful of what she might do to you or her. "Is that so?" Ashe said anger evident in her voice. "B.O.B take the lil' sugar cube back to my bike and tie her up." Ashe said glaring at your girlfriend. You screamed, but B.O.B gagged your mouth and tied you up with some rope.

You looked back at the bank and heard screams, gun shots, and smoke erupt from it. Tears streamed down your face as B.O.B just stared at you. Ashe and her crew ran out with filled with money as sirens blared. "Darlin' I had to get rid of her. She didn't deserve to be with you anyways." Ashe said, feeling nothing wrong about what she did to your girlfriend. She gestured to the bags filled with the stolen cash and said, "Besides, you're worth more than all of that money".

This hurts more than it should…

Spy… Isn’t too bad of a guy. In the comics, at least. I feel like he could be an okay dad if he tried. Based on the official tf2 timeline, he was young when Scout was born.

Obviously, he ran. Which was stupid and a dick move on his part.

But 25 years later, (I’d set this comic a couple years before the main story line where Scout is 27) he’s showing he can be better, even it it’s not to Scout, his actual son. (Except in Expiration Date, which is father son bonding galore.)

He trusts this kid, and helps him to be unafraid.

The kid trusts Spy enough to follow his directions to save himself.

Spy sits down with the kid afterwards, and though his words seem slightly harsh, I’d say that they’re kind and gentle, coming from Spy.

TL;DR: Spy can be an okay guy, and now that he’s older, has the capacity to be a good dad.
