Stow Police Log

The Bolton Police reported a man, wearing dark clothing, flip flops and feathers in his hair, walking along the road. The man was walking to Boston. He refused a ride.

A caller from Bose reported that a hot air balloon landed on the property. He inquired about the regulations regarding this.

A caller from Bradley Lane reported that a parked car had a bicycle on the ground near it and a person under the car. When the caller approached the car, he heard someone say “let’s get out of here.” The Police responded to to check the area. Nothing was found.

A caller requested to speak with an officer regarding offensive wording in the last week’s police log. An officer advised the individual.

A caller on Wheeler Road reported that a groundhog was on the side of the road. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

A caller on Crescent Street reported that a man was throwing his hands up while he was walking away from his girlfriend’s car. The caller was not sure if something had happened or was going to happen. The Police responded. No one was located.

A caller from White Pond Road reported that people were “hanging out” on the bridge. The Police responded. The individuals were not doing anything wrong. All was OK.

An officer observed two individuals with mopeds at the Stow Brook Gulf. They were trying to tow one moped by using long sleeved shirts as the tow rope. The officer advised the individuals to stop. The mopeds were pushed home to Maynard.

A caller from Warren Road reported that her car’s headlights were stolen. The Police responded. After further investigation, the Police informed the woman that her car was never equipped with fog lights; therefore they were not stolen.

A caller from Harvard Road reported that there was a bat in her kitchen. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

A caller on Hartley Road reported hearing fireworks and kids going up to Hale School. The Police responded. Two people were located at Hale. They were playing basketball. No fireworks were located.

An officer at the town beach advised a group to move their soccer net. They were accidentally kicking balls into the road. The net was moved.

A caller from Bradley Lane complained about the softball players on the field being loud. The Police responded. The players finished the game and left shortly after.

A caller on Great Road reported that she saw a very large beach ball blowing around the Lion’s field. She was concerned that it would blow into traffic and cause a problem. The Police responded. The ball was removed from the area.

An officer guided a flock of geese off Crescent Street.

A caller reported that there was an unknown truck at her friend’s house. The police responded. The truck belonged to her friend’s son.

A caller from Lowell Drive reported that a white van with seamless gutters on the side came down her driveway. She told the man “no thank you” and asked him to leave. The Police responded to check the area.
