Can we please stop romanticizing Orpheus’ mistake and spreading the narrative of “Get you a man who would turn around for you.”?
No. Get you a man who wouldn’t.
Don’t settle for a man who doesn’t trust you to walk beside him.
Don’t settle for a man whose insecurities are so strong that they doom you.
Don’t settle for a man who “loves” you but cannot trust that you’ll still be there when he reaches the other side.
Don’t settle for an Orpheus.
You deserve someone who trusts you enough to keep walking.
Someone who knows trusts you would be there when he reached the end.
Someone who does not need to look back.
The right man would not turn around for you.
The right man would trust you enough to keep walking and know that when it was finally safe to turn around, you would still be there.
