First 10-15 minutes in:  I don’t think we needed Kinger to confirm they’re brainscans, Cain’s death and deterioration of the Circus is already a good enough low point. 

The start is really slow and too sappy, especially that Pomni and Ragatha hug. It’s unearned. It’s weird to have Ragatha exposit what ended her and Jax’s relationship, especially since it seems like we’re getting a ton of Jax flashbacks soon. Really strange choice to have Jax abstract offscreen, extremely anticlimactic. We don't get the character’s reaction. Could’ve had a parallel to ep 1 where Pomni and co go to check up on Jax in his room only to discover he abstracted. A chase scene of the characters running away from Abstracted!Jax could have been interesting. Also where’s Kinger? He was the only character there, was there a reason for his absence? At first I thought there would be a twist where Jac shows up and it’s revealed that is was Kinger who abstracted, not sure if that would’ve been good. Maybe we’ll get an explanation for his absence later. 

30:23 - Hehe, kinda funny how Gangle immediately shows up after this dramatic scene. They could’ve shown the full scene of Jax and Ragatha’s conversation so Ragatha wouldn’t need to exposit earlier. They showed the aftermath of the scene, why not just show the full thing? 30:52 - Oh we skipped Zooble’s introduction, not exactly relevant so it’s fine. 30:58 - Ah-ha we finally see Jax’s true feelings on Kaufmo’s Abstraction! I wish we saw more of Ribbit and Kaufmo but I guess it was enough. 

35:02 - Where did those flash bangs come from? Why are they just lying on the ground?

35:02 - 35:51 - Very wonderful cover. Legitimately great looking scene. I like that they used Zooble’s extra limbs as a makeshift rope.

36:24 - Keeping Jax in an enclosed dark space is smart. Still using Zooble’s limbs as rope. Anyone wondering why the other Abstractions didn’t escape when the Circus glitched out? 

36:36 - Wait bubbles? Is Bubble still around?

36:57 - I like the detail that Pomni’s still glitching out since Caine can’t fix it anymore. 

38:22 - Hi Caine! (I was spoiled on Caine coming back.)

39:22 - Man this Caine content is awesome!!! Kinda makes me wish that the Finale was about reaching out to Caine instead of Jax. I feel like it would make more sense since Caine is the main antagonist and could have created a tangible conflict and obstacles for a Finale.

40:42 -OH he’s running! He’s running for the first time in the series!

41:22 - Oh my gosh I LOOOOOOOVE this~

41:30 - Yum <3

42:03 - *gasp!*

42:09 - This is the most engaging and visually interesting part of the finale so far.

42:20 - Wait is this a flashback?

43:09 - Yep flashback. This is so beautiful.

45:26 - Does anyone else feel like Caine’s self reflection came a bit too fast? It feels weird that he would come to this conclusion on his own so quickly. Instead of coming to this conclusion on his own maybe a conversation from Pomni could have helped him reach this conclusion.

I think I just want episode 9 to be a continuation of episode 8 situation with Caine instead of Jax. (I don’t hate Jax, I think he’s really interesting, but I don’t think his story should have overtaken the finale.)

46:07 - The characters never visited the carnival. We only ever visit the other island locations twice. With the emphasis they were given in the Pilot I thought these locations would be more relevant.

46:21 - Yes! Moon! 

46:27 - He’s standing on the ground!!!

46:42 - Aw <3

46:55 - Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh-! (This does beg the question of what Moon’s deal is? Is it a manifestation of Caine’s self love?)

47:33 - Nice detail of Zooble standing protectively in front of Gangle.

47:58 - (The finale really should have been Pomni reaching out to Caine instead of reaching out to Jax.) I think it would have been a nice touch to have Caine standing while saying this. To have him on even ground with the Circus crew.

48:05 - Wait, is it implying that Caine came to this realization by accessing Wi-Fi and looking through someone’s Instagram account? So it’s an outside force and not one of the main characters that changes the antagonist’s mind? If that’s true then that is really unsatisfying.

48:27 - This feels like 2 episodes stitched together, one is a Jax episode and another is a Caine episode. I guess it was made this way to make it movie length. 

49:03 - Caine’s arc felt rushed. Too much time was spent on the Jax arc (which feels a little poi since he’s Abstracted and basically dead). 

49:14 - Kingers’s nervous finger tapping.

49:54 - This is sweet.

51:09 - I knew they had kids!!!

52:21 - I really liked this section, definitely my 2nd favorite in the finale.

53:19 - Awwwwwwww~ <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

53:27 - Cute.

53:42 - Aaaaahhhhhh he gets to be part of the crew!!!!!!!!

53:56 - Lol.

54:08 - Ooh Abstractions in different shapes!!!

54:34 - Kinda funny how Caine stole Jax’s place in the friend group. (Did anyone else feel like Bubble was going to do anything? Are they Abel?)

55:25 - *waves* Goodby Pomni I’ll miss you!!!!!

55:38 - Oooh ooh oh the different worlds being added as islands? genius!

55:52 - Oh my gosh father son bonding!!!!

This would be her outfit after she loses Fu. She’s in a bad headspace so her outfit reflects that. The whimsy and superfluous elements are gone and the colors are darker. Once she gains a new support group her outfit would regain some whimsy but show her newfound maturity, something like this:
