HOW DARE YOU PAP THE GOD OF MISCHIEF IN THE FACE---

So I think some people in the North Americas would likely expect a post from me given everything going on with COVID. I’m going to be on a fluctuating hiatus for the time being due to everything going on. I’ve been working as a nurse at my hospital for awhile now, ontop of doing school, and things are just not the best. We’re basically working our normal 3, 12 hour shifts and pulling extra shifts during the week for 40-50$/per hour ontop of our pay because people keep calling out. Sure, the pay is nice, but emotionally and physically? We’re all suffering and don’t want to cover because people keep calling out or being sick. 

I’m NOT saying I am abandoning Loki, at all. I went through so much to bring this muse up and I have no intentions of leaving tumblr. 

But this does mean I’ll most likely be more active via Discord, which I strongly encourage those of you interested to please do interactions with me there for the moment. I’m more mobile and my laptop mainly stays home due to the risk of COVID transmission. Please consider messaging me here for my discord user and adding me. I love all of you guys and don’t want to disrupt interactions because I’m stuck off site. 

the   empath   never   feels   so   conflicted   as   he   does   with   the   god   of   mischief   .   never   a   reason   to   question   emotions   or   loyalties   .   there   is   something   deep   within   the   other   than   no   one   else   can   see   but   the   empath   .   that   feeling   is   enthralling   in   its   own   right   and   it   screams   in   volumes   as   their   hands   lace   more   closely   together   .   

paul   is   no   telepath   and   minds   are   off   limits   ,   but   sometimes   he   wonders   if   the   heart   doesn’t   speak   louder   anyway   .      eyes   close   to   take   i   all   those   complicated   feelings   that   course   through   loki   .   how   many   times   had   paul   wished   for   this   ??         to   know   what   truly   lies   within   that   heart   .   

❝      loki   .   .   .   caring   ?      what   has   this   world   come   to   ??      ❞   he   teases   for   a   moment   ,   that   easy   smile   playing   on   his   lips   .   ❝      you   know   you   cannot   hide   from   me   ,   dear   prince   .      what   is   it   you   care   for      and   why   do   you   feel   you   cannot   be   honest   about   it      .   even   after   all   this   time   ??   ❞   that   piercing   blue   gaze   of   his   is   still   soft   when   it   lifts   to   greet   the   other’s   .   ❝   and   i   did   not   assume   such   a   thing   .   you   told   me   as   much   .   ❞   

“There’s something in the air, a feeling. I fear I won’t be able to confess such honesty again and....it felt right.”

Every nerve itched with the notion that Loki would only have this moment for Paul, this quiet and innocent moment to lace fingers--to confess on a nervous tongue all that Loki felt. If only things could have been different all these years, in another life he would be so much more open to the man beside him. He would have been able to have something different than that of a relationship so mischievous. 

Though, he had the notion to salvage what he could in this instance.

“I care for you. I’ve cared for you for far too long to not speak an instance of it outside of the private of my room.” A breathy remark uttered as Loki’s gaze wavered upon meeting Paul’s, fingers squeezing that hand gently as his thumb traced the back of his hand. “I feared that you wouldn’t return the same feelings in kind. It’s foolish, I know--but I had every right to be worried.”

“No...No I’m not, I’m afraid.”

She was the same as Loki had last seen her, unmarked and unharmed. The sight allowed him to feel some relief in the fact that she hadn’t been hurt or damaged...at least in this timeline. It’s very clear that this wasn’t the right space given her words and reaction. There is a guilt that ate at his chest, knowing that he would likely only be bringing up bad...or good memories at seeing him. A breath slipped from his lips, head bowing slightly as Loki attempted to shake off his nerves.
