the night sky of the current planet they were on loomed behind them; this planet had four moons, and it looked beautiful from where they were standing outside on a patio of sorts. carol had been called here on a mission to try and resolve some diplomatic bullshit she always found herself involved in -- but hey, they got a free ride in this giant sky-high hotel, so she wasn't going to complain about it.
"glad to hear it," she replied, turning away from the night sky to look at tess instead. she tucked some hair behind tess's ear, grinning as bright as the stars. "i was starting to think you were getting annoyed at all of these trips." there was always people calling carol. she loved to help, of course, but sometimes... it was more fun with tess around, at least. "or do you just really like this hotel room?"
