it was p good i guess. there was a joke in there about how shitty ur sports friends are at solving mysteries and penny goes on a more typical magical animal finding mystery with hagrid at the same time.

basic plot is, skye is getting a new broom and she decides to give her old one to u, because even though its not the latest model is it a professional racing broom. she takes you to the changing rooms where she left it, and it is not there. Drat! 

the cursed erika rath must have stolen it! skye presumes. she takes you to the ravenclaw common room, which is not our house and is in fact erikas house. we just walk in. theres a guy sitting at a table in a corner. 

“you!” says skye. “get fucked!” and he does. he leaves and we ransack the room and find nothing. 

“its not here,” says the mc. 

“nonsense! we just have to search harder.” says skye as she flipendos a couch. at this point in the game you are given an option to express your opinion on this form of searching. i have enough bravery points to pick the “!!!! hell yeah!!!!” button so of course i do. i also flipendo a couch. then flitwick comes in and tells us to go to the principals office.

we do. Dumbledore tells us to knock it off. the literal next level we do not knock it off and very much continue searching. orions mode of searching seems to be that he thinks that the broom is not lost and will in fact turn up if we stop freaking out. murphy makes a broom searching strategy which involves some adorable stick figure drawings of us all that we absolutely do not use. instead, the mc mentions something about clues in the main mystery being transfigured into something else. this leads skye to make the realization that “!!!! we could just turn something else INTO a racing broom!” which is technically true in this magical universe, but we are not at that level of skill because when we try it it absolutely does not work. the level after that one might actually be when we were sent to the principals office i forget. 

in any case, the event ends when penny and hagrid have you come out to hagrids garden and see all the adorable missing puppies playfully tearing the missing broom apart. CUE THE MEME:

the final level is hagrid and madam hooch pitching in to buy you a new broom because hagrid feels bad that his dogs ate mine. everything works out for everyone except for erika rath who is reasonably pissed because skye spread the story that she stole the broom around the whole school  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

the prizes for this event seems to be some intangible quidditch level up and access to hagrids garden whenever you want now. i did have to use a few hundred gems in order to finish this event on time but it was worth it.

Since I lost my old file with Reina and started over, there was a scene sometime after the MC first meets Penny where the two are talking, and Erika Rath immediately walks by and knocks down the MC without even noticing. It happened so fast and since the emulator I use doesn’t record, I only have this one screenshot:
