I love how good the ithaca saga characterizes Penelope. And I'm not talking about her being super smart and disgusting loyal, I'm talking about her being so clearly SPARTAN.
Like this saga was so wild and Penelope the whole time was just like, "Oh.. anyways-". I genuinely never seen a character so unbothered by pure insanity in every song they are in (which was only two😭)

Will Solace who came to camp young. Very young. 8, 9, 10 years old young. With his mom always busy on tour and no stable life in his childhood, he never quite learned how to read social cues. When he came to camp he didn't know how to control his words. He said unsettling, strange things all the time and freaked people out. People started avoiding him. With the help of his siblings and his hatred of 'being left behind' he stopped and put thought into everything he said. Eventually, people forgot about his strange tendencies and for being 'rewarded' for hiding himself away he became the repressed kid he is at 15, 16 years old

Black cats (children of Hades) are one of the least liked cats, often seen as bad luck or dangerous. People will even attack them, hurt them, send them away, just because they are black cats. They are still sweet and no different than other cats, people just have preconceived notions of them because they are black cats, and not calico or orange or any other type of cat. They learn that people will see them as dangerous and hurt them, so they become what people think and scratch back to protect themselves.
Golden retrievers are well loved by many different people. They're seen as these happy, sunshine dogs that are friendly. They're easy to love and love everyone. Then, as soon as they do anything a dog, (child put in a position of power and forced to hide their emotions) would normally do, like lashing out, barking loudly or being anything but happy and friendly, suddenly everyone is mad at them and think their a bad dog. They learn to stop acting like any dog and just act like that happy dog to protect themselves.

We all know Jason was jealous of Percy, and in some way Percy was jealous of Jason. Jason finds out one day and is just utterly confused.
What could Percy be jealous about? He has a mother who loves him, his godly parent actually cares for him. He is a celebrated hero, with even the gods fearing him. He was offered immortality and on his own terms REFUSED. His siblings who share the same godly parent actually LIKE him. When he went missing, people actually cared enough to look for him.
So what in Jason's life would make Percy jealous?
As we see a barrage of evil executive orders come in, they are not immediately enforceable and will takes months or years to implement.
That’s still not great, but don’t let these pile up to the point of hopelessness. Take a breath, and look community leaders who will fight it every step of the way.
