Somewhat poorly, and with many a badgered line, but not altogether inservicable. Auld things may have the capacity to carry grudges across millennia, but there was no light more abjuring to dislike than saving the life of a loved one.

And Zatanna had saved hers more than once. Even now, simply sat there, whisking heat away with a whisper... Diana could feel the edges of her spirit shoring up.

There were unavoidable connotations when talking about their current predicament as a whole. More so still when acknowledging things that lay beneath a surface of tension yet to be broken. Zatanna had been confident in making leaps and bounds, flirting after all was far easier than any might think, but there was a certain spread to minutia that gave her pause.

The spread of the minutia continued to show on her face, warmth touching her cheeks and spreading across her features, shimmering blue gaze flickering away from her companion to look down into the cup of perfectly tempered tea. More so still, Diana's form dwarfed her own, even while sat in this quiet moment Zatanna had never felt her heart beat so loud when recognizing this and the closeness of the moment.

It was more than those eyes, those soul capturing pools of delight that just drew you in, made you trust her. Made you love her. Pound for pound they shared the penchant now, for rescuing one another. But by the other woman's gods did it feel nice to give in, to rest her lithe frame against Diana's, to drop her head against such a muscular shoulder.
