STLBarWarz FGC State of the Union Update.July 2012.
A Note from MMCVoraciousWays, When I first started organizing Street Fighter tournaments at the tail end of 2010 I had no idea just how big of a machine the FGC was city/nation/worldwide. Through the last year and half I've met some amazing people and learned a lot from OGs and post-09ers alike. After trying my best to keep the scene interesting for both hardcore tournament players and casual fighting game fans alike .. i've decided the best way to give everyone what they want is to put the power of tournament scheduling in the hands of the players! Check it out... Super 8 Tournaments - A Darwinian Approach to Tournament Scheduling. With the revival of this genre's popularity since 2009's Street Fighter IV it seems like there's more games to play than ever before (and there are! especially when you combine these newer titles with old school favorites). We love the variety and difference in approach these games take on the human chess game of outsmarting your opponent, however, when it comes to planning a tournament schedule it's important to prioritize. The Capcom Big Two (AE and UMVC3) are undoubtedly the dominant force in fighting games today. And given this we couldn't help but be compelled to feature one of these games every week. With the introduction of our RanBat series (and its expansion to AE post-Evo) we aim to give our hardcore tournament players consistent competition, and give players of all skill level (particularly newcomers) a rubric to visualize their progression against their peers; much like ascending the ranks on XBL, but in this case you're pitted against the best your city has to offer in the flesh! However, we're now leaving it up the community to decide what other games get their well deserved shine, and here's how it works: Through the creation of subgroups on Facebook players have forums catered specifically to connecting with other folks in there who are interested in the games they enjoy. This allows fans of these games to organize and help schedule a minimum 8 person bracket as a supplemental event to whichever of the big two will be in tournament play. We will feature at least one other tournament each week, potentially two. This will depend on the demand from players of these unique games and if we must meet this demand we will schedule one of these games earlier in the evening (e.g. 7PM) to not overburden our schedule.

The Big Two Get Buffed. AE RanBat Begin! As indicated above, we will be running one of the big two each week as the main course of our broadcast. The smaller game will run as the side dish - keeping our stream's uniqueness and diversity while always featuring one of the most popular games. We are also just started a Ranked Battle system for SSFIV:AE2012 to complement the RanBat we were already running for UMVC3. We will be offering these prize pools for both at the conclusion of our season in December. Prize Pool Finishers: 1st Place : $300 2nd Place : $200 3rd Place : $100 4th-8th Place : Prizes TBA. Finale awards may also include metals/trophies... or giveaways from any number of our sponsors. Say tuned as more details are revealed in the coming weeks/months. Ranked Battles for Seed Points Players who are ranked in either AE or UMVC3 as a part of our season can challenge each other to a Ranked Battle where they put their points on the line to rise in the rankings. However, since we decided to allow this feature we have decided to "nerf" these matches a bit so things don't get out of hand and overly reward players who win on big gambles (thus hurting those players who earn their rank from legitimate tournament placings). Here are the rules: - Players must both agree to terms of match. (May be 2/3, FT5, FT10, etc.) - Match must happen at a public hook-up with other players bearing witness. - A player may only participate in one Ranked Battle in a given night. - A player can only risk a maximum of 10points in a given match. *Ranked matches will be closed after the end of November. No more may be sanctioned until the season ending event. Important Dates & Events

STLBarWarz UMVC RanBat League UPDATE 07.05.12
[left number = ranking points. right number = seed points] * ASTONISH Series 2v2 Ratio Limit [9 - 14pt] Some interesting occurrences have shifted the ranking balance of the ongoing UMVC RanBat at STLBarWarz. Jai "WakeAnBake" Kim left our fair city with a one point lead and moral victory over Rex by defeating after being reset at the Mahvel Mondaze singles tournament. We can't thank him enough for his "Marvel residency" in our town over the last few months - we were lucky to get to know a great player and killer dude. However the balance in power has shifted since last Wednesday's ASTONISH Series 2v2 tournament. Rex has assumed control with a 61 ranking points. However, the most startling point shift occurred over at one of the several grind sessions that occurred this weekend. PsychoShot defeated Hallhawk in a high stakes 20pt ranked match to assume a solid second place position. Its also worth noting that MMC's BlackKen won a 5pt ranked battle against Evil Ben this weekend as well. However, its still early in our season and there's bound to be more ranked matches for seed points down the road that will shake the foundation of the rankings.Â

STLBarWarz May 21st Update! CHICKBL0KKERS 'N DARKSTALKERS
Sprite Nite III : Symphony of the Sprite RECAP
STLBarWarz wants to give a quick shout out everyone involved in our most hype Sprite Nite to date! Ever since we started the series its become one of our most watched regularly scheduled events, so thanks to all the KOF monsters out there in stream land (including one from Peru!). Its nice to have hilarious and intelligent stream comments instead of the bridge troll spamming you normally see on larger streams.. definitely kept us in stitches! Big thanks to Forgotten Kazama (Tasty Steve) for putting us out there and adding class to our KOFXIII tournament. Congrats as always to Sparkster for his victory, even if he horseheaded the entire last match against yours truly. We also had a killer Skullgirls tournament that ended in epic fashion as PsychoShot edged out Omicron Austin preventing the reset in grand finals. Look forward to seeing highlights posted up here soon as we start bringing you clips from our STLBarchives very soon! 5.21.2012 : STLBarWarz : Capcom Bar Battles : ChickenBlokkers and Darkstalkers [UMVC3, Vamp Sav]
[The man, the myth, the legend, ReX0r] Tonight we're bringing you the sickness! We're presenting our first Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament in the new digs, the STLBarCade. Most notably this event will be the first Marvel tournament to feature the long awaited return of STL's most decorated Marvel player, ReX0r. There's been plenty of debate about whether the scene has leveled up during his absence and if his time away from the game will be a factor in this tourney.. but the answers will only come tonight in the Gateway to the Best! Also don't forget! We have a Vampire Savior tournament schedule as well .. should provide a ton of hype on the big blue cabinet tonight! Come one come all!
STLBarWarz & FatalKO to Introduce Progressive Ranbat system for UMVC3..
STLBarWarz and FatalKO have collaborated to produce a UMVC3 seeding/scoring system based on a progressive points system that will redefine how STL plays  Marvel. This system was designed to give players a defined ranking based on performance/participation, and the ability to visualize progression as their game improves. Read below how the various Marvel based events will now run, and how our brand new 2v2 format will help to elevate newer/less experienced players by teaming them will some of St. Louis' best! FatalKO Round Robin Ranbats [RRR] These weekly events will take place every Friday at the HoukUp in Overland. As per Round Robin format, all players in attendance will face each other and receive points based on performance. These matches will be a best 2/3. The points will be used to seed players in future STLBarWarz singles and 2v2 tournaments. 3 Person UMVC3 Committee STLBarWarz will soon announce a 3 person committee to handle unique decisions pertaining to seeding in UMVC3 events. Their job will be to seed out-of-town players into Marvel tournaments who are unseeded according to the local ranbat system into our tournaments. STLBarWarz UMVC3 Singles Tournaments - 1v1 UMVC Singles Tournament. - All tournaments now run under a best 3/5 for all matches. - Tournament performance counts for double the points due to the 3/5 format and the higher profile nature of these tournaments. - 70/20/10% Payout scheme.Â
STLBarWarz ASTONISH Series - 2v2 UMVC3 Team Tournament. - All tournaments ran best 2/3 (beating both players), 3/5 for winners/losers/grand finals. - Player order chosen per match on a random (coin flip basis), i.e. you cannot always rely on the best teammate going first. - Results affect tournament seed rankings. - Each Team must consist of a combined pairing within a 11 to 14 point ranking score. [see below] - Ranks determined by pre-existing scores date from FatalKO RRR and STLBarWarz Tournament Series Sanctioned Events (Out of town or other major tournament stats do not apply) - Out of town players wishing to be involved will be ranked according to the UMVC3  committee. Only local players among the team will earn points based on the outcome of the tournament. - Seeding in tournament dependent on team point average (between 11 and 14) combined with highest ranking players. [in other words, in the event of a tie in the team point average, the team with the higher ranked player will be seeded above all others will lower scored players] - 70/20/10% Payout scheme.  Seeding Scores 1 = 10 2 = 9 3 = 8 4 = 7 5 = 7 6 = 7 7 = 6 8 = 6 9 = 6 10 = 6 11 = 5 12 = 5 13 = 5 14 = 5 15 = 5 16 = 4 17 = 4 18 = 4 19 = 4 20 = 4 21 = 4 * This ratio could continue as so (the next 7 players would be worth 3 points, the next 8 players worth 2 points, and any other player beyond this worth 1 point a piece. however as it stands 21 ranked players would be about what i would expect given the current size of the competitive scene) The spread in points would always be set up as a combination between the top seed points (10) and the bottom seed points (4) = 14 at the highest.. and the two closest numbers in the median of the numbers (in this case 5 and 6 = 11). This system would help newer/poorer performing players learn by being picked by the city's best, while giving mid-tier performing players a better advantage of winning in this tournament than they would in a singles event.
STLBarWarz April 18th Update [Rum & Pokes THE REFILL]
[Sparkster stuntin' @ Sprite Nite II : Electric Boogaloo 03.28.12] Long time without an update to this space - but we're about to go super saiyan on ya'll with a bounty of information regarding our big May 7th venue transfer. Stay tuned for that... --------------------------------------------------- Debate rages on the STLBarWarz facebook forums about the current state of the fighting game community, especially in the wake of so many new releases this season. After all the hype and controversy before its release, the FGC in St. Louis remains split on Street Fighter x Tekken, with most residing in the haters camp. While I won't regurgitate the reasons for the vehement reactions we've seen, it has had an interesting effect on the other games being played. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has received a boost in the arm due to several new players hitting the scene (WakeAnBake and Project GiantSword's ValBjorn) as well as the instituting of regular hook-ups at Gllty's house for more grind time outside of Danno's. Meanwhile the always vocal Glen Sun (player) has started up the second round of his online PS3 based GlensGarden tournament series, catering specifically to SSFIV:AE 2012. The series features top play from the promising talent of Missouri at large (St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, among others). And despite the constant calls that AE would be dead on arrival when SFxT hit the scene, Super Street Fighter IV still remains the game with more tournament entrants any other. Most recently Skullgirls has been met with an overwhelmingly positive reception, at least from the vast majority of players who have sunk their teeth into the game here in St. Louis. After so many disappointing releases (at least to the perception of the majority of players in the FGC) folks were skeptical about this game but after our release party [It's Gunna be a Skullllfiigghtt" 04.11.12] Skullgirls has proved itself to be, at the very least, a welcome alternative to the scene. STLBarWarz will be including Skullgirls regularly with King of Fighters XIII in its "Sprite Nite" monthly series. With all this brewing it'll be an interesting night at "Capcom Bar Battles : Rum & Pokes THE REFILL"... will Florida transplant WakeAnBake take back the Marvel title? Or will a hungry contender who has been putting in work all month reclaim the title for STL natives? Will Peaceful stay atop the AE mountain, or will the tides shift on that game as well? Come on out, or at least tune in tonight @ twitch.tv/stlbarwarz to find out!
STLBarWarz to Restructure Business Plan : Adds $5 Venue Fee.
Starting in March (specifically on March 7th at our SFxT Release Party) STLBarWarz will be applying a $5 door charge to our weekly events. While I would love to continue running these events for free, this job has far outgrown our early days where 5-8 gamers huddled around a single setup. The operation now requires more effort and assistance to run smoothly, so the time has come to adjust our business strategy accordingly. However, in the process we'll be able to make STLBarWarz more professional and even more enjoyable in the months to come.
THE COLD FACTS
The bar business is an expensive enterprise. Overhead costs such as mortgage, electric, gas, water, employee pay, inventory, and entertainment services (just to name a few) are often overlooked. Our primarly mode of making revenue is by selling liquor. And although our community does have a handful of faithful imbibers, many don't purchase alcohol which is reflected in the total sales on Wednesdays as compared to other nights. We certainly respect everyone's right to drink whatever they'd like, be it hard alcohol or soft drinks, but something needed to happen to offset the costs of running things. My only other alternative was to change our Wednesday format to something else entirely (an open mic night for example) to increase earnings. But I think we've worked too hard to cultivate and grow this community that instead of throwing in the towel, we just need to work together to make this a feasable endevour for a neighborhood pub to host.
PRECEDENTSÂ AND STANDARDS
The vast majority of venues that run tournaments and hook-ups around the country all charge a venue fee. Its just a part of doing business. Usually this is because someone has rented out the venue from a third party who is uninvolved in the gaming scene and they need to pay for the space. Even our own FatalKO abides by this law of the land charging a respectable $5 door fee. I'd love to be the exception to this rule but I also have to be realistic.
If you step back further into the 'stone-age' of the arcades of the 90's and early 2000's, money was pumped directly into the pockets of the venue-owner via quarter munching cabinets. Nowadays we're lucky to play most of our games on home consoles. However someone has to host the space and pay for all of the overhead costs I outlined earlier. So putting things in perspective, $5 is a rather modest fee for an entire evenings worth of entertainment, especially compared to days gone by.Â
HOW THE MONEY IS USED
The majority of the money ($4) goes directly to Danno's to justify keeping STLBarWarz coming at you every week by keeping the expenses covered and bills paid. The smaller portion ($1) goes into the STLBarWarz fund specifically to pay for all kinds of exciting things for the betterment of your experience when you come each week. This may include new monitors, controllers & adaptors, copies of games, and improved stream equipment to elevate our presence to the FGC at large. Overall, we'll be able to reach our goals much quicker using this method than by taking out a dollar from every tournament entry. Which leads me to...
TOURNAMENTS STREAMLINED
Now, rather than tournaments costing $6 (or more) all main tournaments will only run you $5. Smaller tournaments (such as Cabinet tourneys or Midnight Madness tournies) will cost less, usually only $2. All of the money collected will go into the pot for the top finishers. We will also be more adamant about running events on time and starting tournaments at the announced time to give you a more reliable and professional experience.
INCENTIVES & BENEFITS
STLBarWarz will be offering incentives to our regular patrons who attend our events every week. For only $15 you can sign up as a GodLike member of STLBarWarz and get a month long pass (or a one week for free; two weeks on months that have five Wednesdays such as May). The only rule is that you must pay the full price of admittance on the first Wednesday of the month. [There will be no refunds if you cannot attend every week that month, even due to unforeseen circumstances.] In addition to saving some coin there are other reasons to go GodLike. Your name will be entered into a month ending raffle to be held at on the last Wednesday of the month for some killer prizes. This is an extra thank you for those members of our community who take it to the next level by joining us each week and bring their all to the fighting game scene. To identify who has paid their dues we will be stamping hands with the STLBarWarz logo instead of using pesky wristbands. For those who'd like to drink all the Mountain Dew or Pepsi they want for the whole night, there will be an option to spend $10 for a red stamp to make fountain soda all-you-can drink for the night. This is another great option to maximize your bucks and avoid having to spend $2 for refills.
HOW TO STAY FREE [THE GOOD WAY!]
Although we've been steadily gathering consoles, screens, and games to provide for use in house, we still rely on the community to bring out their own set-ups so everyone has a chance to get in a game. We don't take this contribution for granted and want to provide further impetus to these folks who go above and beyond by bringing their own gear to the party. Anyone who brings a set-up (a console and screen) will be given a free pass to play for the night.
To avoid a mass of confusion (i.e. everyone bringing up setups and not having enough space to put them) we are starting a new system to reserve space for people who know they plan to bring out their consoles each week. If you normally bring out your set-up and plan to do so for the entire month, you can sign-up on the first Wednesday to reserve your place and come to play for the entire month for free. If you cannot attend on a certain week your spot will be made available to someone else who might like to bring up their console just for that night. Whoever reserves a spot for their setup AND comes every Wednesday throughout the month will also be entered into our month ending raffle as your contribution is GodLike in its own right. The other spots we have open will be filled on a first come first serve basis (as it always has). STLBarWarz staff (myself, Mike Kovac, Eric Pogue) reserve the right to call capacity if we feel that all the spots have been filled up. We will not argue with someone who wants to put a set-up somewhere else in the bar that may encroch on someone else who may not be there for gaming. We will start posting how many 'open' and 'reserved' stations there will be the day of events.
Community members are free to invite friends out who do not plan on gaming. They will not be charged the venue fee, only those who will be playing casuals and in tournaments. However, anyone who comes out and attempts to game without paying our venue fee will be warned first and asked to pay, but may be asked to leave by Danno's staff if this problem persists. Please understand that this system is only fair if everyone abides by it. Â
THE BEST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE
Gaming is a social experience. And in this day-and-age of online gameplay we love standing up for the tradition of the arcade experience. Sure, the hardware has changed, but getting out and playing people whom you can communicate with in the flesh is an experience unlike any other (it also solves that pesky lag problem). We want to continue to bring you the biggest, best, and most varied events possible. And with this new business plan not only can we keep doing what we've been doing, but we can grow and expand our possibilities even further. I know there will be some criticism, but I hope the community by reading this post will understand the necessity of this change and continue supporting us. Look forward to the reopening of our kitchen in March (with a new menu of delicious homemade nosh!), more non-alcoholic options including craft sodas and energy drinks, more drink specials for those who do partake,  STLBarWarz and other FGC related apparel, among other exciting improvements to come in the months ahead!

STLBarWarz Sponsors FatalKO! Ranked Battle Series
STLBarWarz has recently joined forces with the FatalKO! tournament series ran by Chris Lent (Psychoshot) in Overland. These events revive the Ranbat format in the St. Louis area which hasn't been seen in at least a year. The Saturday afternoon time slot is a refreshing addition to our weekly Wednesday night sessions. â"St. Louis Fighting Game Community to Raise Money for Joplin Tornado Victims through Charity Stream"
Danno's American Pub has been the weekly hook-up spot of choice in St. Louis for the past year. Slowly growing in ranks, our STLBarWarz weekly events bring in anywhere from 30 to 60+ unique players for each session. In November of 2011, we went mobile and helped Kansas City stream a tournament from their MaxOut series - bridging together players from both sides of Missouri. That's why, when deciding where to set our focus for our first charity stream, Joplin was a no-brainer. Almost everyone who lives in the Midwest, especially Missouri, knows somebody who was affected by the devastating tornado that hit Joplin in May of 2011. Although the outreach after the crisis was inspiring, much like it was during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the news media eventually has moved its attention elsewhere when there is still much work to be done in helping this historic city. That's why we'll be running a donation drive through RebuildJoplin.org to raise money for this important cause during our first Midwestern Regional tournament Mass Appeal Madness this Saturday, January 14th. Regardless of how much money is raised this weekend, we know every little bit helps so we encourage anyone who tunes in or attends this event in person to contribute what they can to our effort. Friday, January 13th we'll be streaming live at http://www.twitch.tv/stlbarwarz as we kick off our drive. As out of town players (including those from KC, Chicago, Wichita, Springfield, Columbia, etc) arrive in St. Louis and prepare themselves for the next day's tournament activities, they'll have a chance to play some casuals, meet new friends, and help out with a great cause. Then, the following day from 1pm (CST) all the way until 1am the next morning we'll be presenting you with our Mass Appeal Madness tournament. Donations will continue all day long. The final tally be given at the end of the night and sent to Rebuild Joplin at our next weekly event on Wednesday, January 18th. Tune in Friday night and all day Saturday @ http://www.twitch.tv/stlbarwarz to find out how you can make an impact in the lives of those forever changed by this awful catastrophe. Rebuild Joplin : http://rebuildjoplin.org/ More on Mass Appeal Madness: http://tinyurl.com/88ellm6

Already looks like a huge improvement over its predecessor. Next, we'll host our second annual Hyper Fighting Warfare, the first tournament held at Danno's for the STL FGC! Then, just as thought the lovey-dovey stuff was over after Valentine's Day we hit you with our "Just The Two of Us" Tournament. All fighting games with a 2 vs. 2 feature! So find a partner now. Who knows, we might just give the winners boxes of Whitman's samplers to share! After that we hit the world with Sprite Nite, our newest series. We'll be featuring Street Fighter III : 3rd Strike (Online Edition) and King of Fighters XIII. Other sprite based games of the past (and future! we're looking at you Skullgirls) will be included into this series as it develops. We finish the month with a night that happens once every 28 years ... a leap year falling on Wednesday. And since this is the last year of our mother Earth according to the Mayan's .. we must give thanks to the Gods for giving us just one more day before they end it all. That's the thought process behind "Ready to Die". Get seminal and live life for the ephemeral! March begins with a mind-melter of an event, Street Fighter X Tekken release party! We stay on the theological tip and ask everyone to bow down to the CROSS and give a hallelujah for this game finally hitting the streets. Then as a complete rebuttal to our post Valentine's day tournament the month before .. we hit you with... Steak and Blowjob casuals! Those unfamiliar with the "Man's" version of Valentine's Day should head over here : http://www.steakandbjday.com/ We're already confirming Killer Instinct Gold will be played in a side tournament, and other testosterone pumped titles are already in consideration. Feel free to give us any suggestions! Finally we're hitting you with our post-St. Patty's day cool down lap, CELTIC Bar Battles : Burn Knuckle Feints & Boondock Saints! This will be the first Bar Battles to feature SFxT in regular tournament action! Also expect to see bar specials on some of your favorite Irish libations! And these are just the events to start us off this year! Stay tuned for more announcements as they become available.Â

At Mass Appeal Madness we are pleased to announce a $100 bot bonus to both Super Street Fighter IV : AE [2012] and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Seeing as the buy in for both tournaments is $10 .. we will no doubt see the biggest pots to ever be up for grabs in STLBarWarz/Danno's American Pub history. There will also be prizes from sponsors and additional swag to go around. We're hoping this boosts the number of faces we might see from outside the shadows of STL's Arches. Will an out-of-towner come to sweep up this fight money or will STL take it home. Let's find out January 14th!

11.09.11 - Farewell to Fate of Two Worlds, KC x STL @ Maxout
[goodnight sweet prince] CAPCOM BAR BATTLES : FAREWELL TO FATE OF TWO WORLDS [AE & MVC3] Tonight we'll be presenting the end of an era. In February STLBarWarz got its sea legs right as what's now being called Vanilla Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was about to be released. Its been a long year full of great memories for the St. Louis fighting game scene. Its been a privilege to meet so many like-minded fighting game fanatics, the OGs and newcomers alike. We've come a long way in a short time. We have a fully operational stream that while still young and not perfect, is certainly an asset to the city's national presence. We run roughly three official tournaments a month, with many side events sprinkled in. We've had spring breaks with punches and beach balls, a 90's tournament that while overly ambitious was still a riot, and an unending list of hype in-game moments that aroused roars of hypeness from the gathered crowd. This of course is the history of STLBarWarz .. but that history is entwined within the lifespan of the first rendition of the third installment to a franchise that is really an amalgamation of two nerdy corporations. Whew. So take in some of that history as we play The Fate of Two Worlds in tournament play for the last time. Think of both worlds, the world of Mahvel .. and the world of STLBarWarz. MAXOUT : KC x STL (LIVE FROM 12056 W 135TH ST, OVERLAND PARK, KS)
The STLBarWarz Stream Team will be in full effect this Saturday at Maxout! MMCStreamGod Matt will be joined by CustomCuttaz Baztastic to bring the action to all who can't be fortunate enough to see it in the flesh. We're working around the clock to prepare our stream equipment for optimal performance and we wish the guys luck that everything runs as smooth as possible. Danno's American Pub, of course the home of STLBarWarz will be bringing the events of MaxOut to you via live stream all day long. So come up at Noon and stay until 7:30pm (or later if you'd like!) and cheer on the your STL players! For those keeping score at home .. here's your teams! TEAM KC AxioM (Captain) (Ryu) Focra (Zangief) GetThere1Time (Rufus) Chachi (Ken) BoxbroSG (Yun) TEAM STL TFA German LUG3R (Captain) (Vega) MMC Vandal Hearts (Fei Long) Tahldon (Guy) Peaceful (Rose) Mr. K (Seth) STLBarWarz Madden x Shooters Get ready to put your team up on your back for MADDEN. After the endless requests of video game fans at large.. we've caved and decided to give fans of other genres a chance to have the same fun us fighting game players have. Danno's will be offering setups to play NFL Madden 2012 on football Sundays .. so even if the Rams don't keep your spirits up.. you can turn to a more productive way of unleashing your gridiron fever. In additional we'll have space for anyone who'd like to bring up some console based shooters. With the recent and much hyped release of Modern Warfare 3 .. shooter fans are in a frenzy. Now you have a place to meet up to slaughter likeminded players. Meetups will start as casual play at first and will evolve into leagues/tournaments if the player base and interest grows. So if you're a fan of the testosterone laden world of professional football and firearms .. you have found your refuge.
