I AM OFFICIALLY DONE!!!

Here is the final result of the Solas Cross-stitch project (and my first big size project in general)

So it took:

- 73 days

- 38 colours

- 25,800 stitches

- work in 2 countries

It was definitely motivating to be posting updates here since I tend to lose interest and start a lot of things without finishing them so thanks for that!

I will be starting to set up for my next project which I will be timing so I have a number of hours worked by the end of it.

Days 66-70 done!!!

We are officially down to our last 10 colours with the largest amount of stitches for one being 196 so Im guessing I will probably be done with the project by the next update.

I will try to get a nice picture of the finished project in natural lighting when it is done as the yellowish light doesn't do it justice quite right

For anyone wondering I have picked my next project and gotten the colours I need (hopefully enough 🤞) and it will be the Dragon Age Keep illustration for the quest What Pride Had Wrought in DAI. I just love the contrast and colours in the illustration.

Days 61-65 done !!

Really loving how this has been coming along and we are so close to the finish line. I only have 20 colours left with less than 300 stitches each so it should be pretty fast. Im just really proud of myself for sticking to that project since I've been known to leave stuff halfway done and never coming back to it 😅

I received my thread for my next project today so I'm excited to move on to that once this is done.

Days 56-60 done!!

It's really nice switching colours often, I'm not necessarily doing more than before but it feels like it (like reading a book with short chapters)

I do have a slightly hard time making a choice, although I have time before I'm done with what I'm doing right now. Here are the options:

Days 51-55 done!!

I light just stop naming all of the colour switches in the posts bc I cannot remember the names of those I did this time around. The only name I remember is the blue being named "Green Grey - Medium" bc what..?

I really enjoyed working on the background in the middle as it was the first 2 light colours on this project and finally having some contrast was really nice and easy to distinguish.

Days 46-50 done 💕

This time I finished the colour i was doing, then I started Coffee Brown - Ultra Dark, finished it, and today I started Beaver Grey - Ultra Dark.

With all of the colours now being under 1000 stitches, I am looking forward to switching colours often.

Days 41-45 done!!

We have officially moved onto our 4th colour (Pewter Gray - Very Dark) with 1700 stitches of it to do (although im down to around 600 now.

Done with days 36-40!!!

Im still working on the Olive Green-Black but I only have about 1000 stitches left so I should be done with it soon!

Days 31-35 complete!

We have changed colour again!!!! We've moved on to Olive Green-Black which is visible in real life but once again barely shows up on camera (gotta zoom for it)

Back for days 16-20 on the Solas project!!

Almost done with black (14 stitches!!!) which feels rewarding ✨️✨️ as it was the 2nd largest colour

After a minor setback and getting rid if a couple hundred stitches 😁🔫... we are so back! Days 11-15
