Generations of hurt.
when i called this finished a couple days ago, i honestly despised it. i started this piece all the way back at the end of june last year; i got up to 80% done in a normal amount of time, and then everything kept going wrong. i got stuck in a cycle of being demotivated, not having the time, and art block, and my OCD got me used and stuck to the idea of keeping working on it, effectively making it impossible to ever finish it. i could not drop it either, it was so close to done at all times, it would have been a waste if i did; but work on anything else was not an option either when i called it done i absolutely hated it. many parts are still unfinished and i disliked those spots. it felt so awful to grow hateful of something that i really liked the look of when i started but at this point i just had to have it off my hands, call it done, and convince myself i won't ever have to think of it again. now, a couple days later, i'm starting to see the parts that made me excited way back then again, and can start to appreciate it again, but i won't forget that time inbetween i originally wasn't sure if i wanted to post it, but this really solidifies the feeling of letting go, so, here we are
