Let me talk about #19days, I need to vent
Let's be honest here: do you expect the story to have an ending? Because I don't, I lost hope a while ago.
Old Xian is incredibly talented, but they're not a good storytelling, it's not they strong suit, it shows and we know it.
The problem is that the choice not to finish a single chapter has been dragging the story out for years and little development is noticeable. Tianshan gained prominence and became the main focus, but caused total oblivion with Jianxi. Don't let me started with the other characters, even.
The current story being told⊠do you remember when it started? They Twitter profile says it was at the beginning of September 2024. That's 1 year and 3 months ago. This year, Old Xian posted 26 chapters, which may seem like a lot, but among the 482 chapters in over 10 years of publication? I don't think so.
26 chapters where we don't know why Tian returned, whether permanently or not. Why renovate Little Mo's house and then take him away from there? Why not tell him the good news? Why not let him work in peace? Why come back and not apologize for being gone for so long without news?
I no longer expect these kinds of questions to be answered.
I no longer expect Christmas and New Year's updates.
I don't expect the main plot of the storyâJian and He Tian's disappearance at the beginning of high schoolâto even be addressed.
"Ah, it's because censorship in China is very strict". Okay, I understand that. But no other author has finished any other story in China because of that? I mean, I just want a chapter ending, you know. It's not asking too much.
Like, I'm not going to stop reading, but I don't see any reason to expect anything. I feel so extremely frustrated, so many plot holes, a tank full of them, swimming aimlessly for a decade.
Feels like I need to apologize for liking the characters so much and wanting more, what a fool.
