Stephen King Confessions

Even though it is nothing like The Mangler, I’m still afraid of my washing machine.

i am aware that derry, maine doesn’t exist and even if it did, It has been vanquished…but i can’t pass an open sewer or be alone outside without that creeping fear.

I’m scared Doctor Sleep is never going to come out. And then I’m scared it’s going to suck.

I got a little turned on reading “The Man In The Black Suit”.

I have never hated a character in a novel more than I hated Big Jim Rennie.

As an innocent 5 year old, watching “The It” left me extremely terrified of clowns. Even now as a 14 year old teenager it’s hard for me to glance down at the shower drain. 

I could never run a marathon. It would remind me too much of The Long Walk.

"The Body" is my absolute favorite Stephen story. But I HATED Stand By Me. It absolutely ruined my vision of the novella the first time I watch the adaptation. I will never attempt to re-watch it.

I love Stephen King’s “The Stand”. It taught me so much about courage, gratefulness, kindness and simplicity. When I finished it, I felt as though I had truly finished an adventure.

'It' was the first Stephen King novel I ever read. I was eleven years old. It's the only book that's ever made me have a nightmare.

Reading Rage as a mentally disturbed teen in the middle of a huge depression phase made me almost kill myself. It’s still my favorite book.

It saddens me that “Needful Things” has little to no Fandom. :”(. I don’t like Stephen King (yes that IS possible. don’t hate me. :(.) but that book is one of my favorites, and I hate that I have no-one at all to talk to about it. :(.
