I feel like people treat The Amazing Digital Circus as something like Stranger Things or Squid Game where there are massive world ending stakes and stuff when the show really aligns more with the style of The Haunting of Hill House or any Mike Flanagan show where the interpersonal dramas of the story are given the spotlight and the main threats (Hill House and The Circus) are not really explained and are simply the catalysts to the drama experienced by the characters.
