Bonne fête nationale tout le monde !!! 🇫🇷🎇 (Well it was yesterday… I posted it on time on insta, but I forgot to put it here 😅)

It’s the first time I experience it in Paris, since I have to stay at the capital city for my internship.

So yeah… It’s pretty hot out here ! 🥵 The canicule is killing me and the studio !!! X)

Apparently the next week is going to be a bit cooler (please I hope ! Paris is an oven right now XO)

I unfortunately missed the 14th fireworks (they did it on the 13th because of the heat), BUT ! I did watch the 5th one at St Cyr ! XD hello fellow Americans ! It was a nice show 👌✨😌

But honestly, I think the most impressive thing I observed during this heat wave is the ability in which the Parisians still continue to drink coffee ! Not iced, HOT coffee !!! It’s a real addiction at this point XD

I'm back at drawing ! For me !!!! Yeay !!!

I almost finished my graduation year ! Just need to pass some oral exams, but the short film is done for good 😁

So of course, my first drawings had to be about Unity XD I still wish to have a sequel to the DLC... Ubisoft please ! So I imagine what could look like our Léon and Arno just a few years later... The little man is not so little anymore 🥹

I also gave them a new accomplice ! Because we need a girl here ! XD It's mostly an excuse for exploring a bit more the austrian story of Arno's family... So... Maybe she could be from Vienna ? I don't know, I'm mostly a visual person, the story comes later ahah X)

Not sure if I'll have the time to develop a lot this idea (I'm not very good at writing ^^'), but I might post some sketches of them from time to time 🤭 I hope you'll like it !

I went at the MAD last month for the exhibition "A day in the XVIII° century", and took some pictures of it. So I though I might share it with the history nerds out here X) The exhibition was organized chronologically while we are visiting every room of a fictional but typical aristocratic house in Paris during the reign of Louis XV/XVI (the time period represented was quite large, and was also going from the start of the century to the revolution !) Each room was associated to an hour, and it really felt like we were spending the day in here ! X)

It's not perfect but I tried to post the pictures in order ^^ :

1 : The room of Madame. The owner were usually awaken by a domestic around 7h. A chemise is prepared on the bed, with a chamber pot under it (just in case...).

2 : The bathroom. It's a bit hidden in the background, but some bath were entirely covered at the time. You can powder yourself while having a little collation. But 2 objects caught particularly my attention ; an antique hair iron is laid on the chair (to curl the hair), and a tiny cup for administering medicinal waters into the eye !?!!

3 : The cabinet of Monsieur. Every gentilhomme has to take care of their estate, but they also like to spend the time in their office reading books and smocking tabacco.

4 and 5 : The household. The children live separately from there parents in a personnal appartement inside the hotel, with the domestics. Here are some clothe worn by the footmen and a young girl's dress.

6 : some jewerly, watches and hairpins. And a gorgeous chatelaine ^^

7 : The personal library of Monsieur. There is many measuring tools on the desk, but also a lot of "chinoiseries". Ironic considering that the two squarish bottles on top are japanese TvT ! They were sold to Europe enterly white and painted there. It was used to store precious mass wine in France, while their original fonction was to store cheap sake XD

8 and 9 : The petit Salon. Playing games after diner became a huge hobby during the XVIII° century. Mind games with the échecs, games of chance with a sort of loto (called Cavagnole), skill games like the Tric Trac and even divination games that can guess your futur love interess !

Heyyyy ! I'm finally back ! Or at least for now ^^'

I'm still on the making of my graduation short film (go check that out if you're interested @ma_ecv.production 😁). But I can see that we're on the final stretch !!! Just a few animations, few backgrounds to color, and a dash of compositing over it and it should be finished in June ! I can't wait to show you our baby ! 🤣

Sooo... Meanwhile, I didn't really have a lot of time to draw for myself... That's why I haven't really been here for quite a moment 😅 But now ! I'm on vacation for a week ! So I took the occasion to change my pp and give it a refresh ✨ I also wanted to draw my new haircut (I've got it in december but it's still new to me XD) aka the "gellyfish cut" 🪼 I'm a fish now X)

I found @perfworldweek totally by hasard, and the timing couldn't have been better to feed my new brain obsession XD !!! I have played ZA, and was deeply bummed to see that there were no sign of my favourite pokemon professor TvT The Lysander's redemption arc was interesting, but a bit... unfinished ?... I don't know X) There should have been sycamore in this game (the pictures in the lab had hurt me :') )

Finally !!! I finished my take on @ramshackledtrickster 's mesmerizing character : Jean Duchêne de Charlois ! He is the royal hunter of the Versailles woods, but also a terrific werewolf in his spare time X)

It took me wayyy too long to paint it, but I'm so happy with the result ^^ I haven't painted on photoshop for a while ! So it was fun to experiment again with my brushes 🤗

Can't wait to know more about him !!! (it's too late now, I'm too invested 🤣) I just hope I didn't messed up his design TuT

I'm late as usual X) I underestimate the time it would take to draw these two with a christmas tree ! I haven't draw them in a while I though I forgot, but nope ! My brain went directly like "Hey ! I know these guys !" X)

By the way ! Christmas tree wasn't really a big thing back then ! At least in France. It was more a christmas tradition for the east of Europe, like Germany or Austria for exemple. The family will gather around an evergreen tree decorated with candles and later apples (that will become our christmas balls) and offer gifts for the children.

And since Arno is half french and half austrian, maybe... He could have decorated his café théatre for Léon... ? The réveillon and the celebration of the new year was also way more festive than the 25th december (a more pious and religious day) sooo... I'm not that late late ! in a way ^^'

The last one is a real christmas present to unwrap ! >u< I found a dtiys pose by on instagram by @theposearchives (go check their work, it's amazing !) with my sibling, and we challenged ourselves to draw a little something for the holidays. Sorry but Arno was just ✨perfect✨for it X) Don't mind the background though (I was lazy XO)

And the award to the best halloween costume goes to.... ! A real werewolf ?!

I did a light version, but trust me, medieval werewolfs are... something X)

Just an average day at the front of the inferno's door. I was looking at some inferno's representation in the medieval ages, and I felt upon this strange beast open mouth door. With all this weird looking demons all around, it was too goofy to not be in today's prompt (well actually yesterday's prompt... but you get it XD)

Day 24 : Rowdy 🏆

A game of joust for all the rowdy knights of the country ! There is no doubt that our brave warriors know how to win battles, but what about the hearts of our princesses ?
