1980s: We hope for US-American investors. 

1990s: We hope for Japanese investors. 

2000s: We hope for Arabic investors. 

2010s: We hope for Russian investors. 

2020s: We hope for Chinese investors. 

“You do not need maths...” - that’s what I heard being told to “musically talented” kids when I was a child. In every second radio interview musicians and actors tell that they didn’t like maths in school and that they did not need it anymore in their later life to become successful. Maths-bashing became so fashionable.

Are they kidding? Are they stupid?

Yes, it might be possible to become rich without knowing about much about maths. But I think it is almost impossible to stay wealthy without maths. 

For staying wealthy you need maths more than anything else. You need to know about percentage calculation, about probablities, about statistics etc.

During the pandemic I read so many statements from people that showed that they know almost nothing about probabilities. What the hell? This can be lethal. 

People play lottery every week but they think that stocks or even cryptocurrencies are “too risky”. What the hell???

I say it in words that even those esoteric and spiritual people will understand: 

Knowing mathematics is essential for being the driver of your life. Without knowing mathematics you will always be driven.

If you prefer videos look for MOOCs or YouTube videos on these topics. 

However, it won’t be possible to become and stay wealthy (and in the current time also healthy) without knowing about it. 

Wanting to become and stay wealthy without knowing about mathematics is like wanting to travel without knowing about geography, without being able to read maps, train timetables etc. It is simply impossible.

I think this can bring a huge jump in the use of the Cardano blockchain. It might have a big impact for the whole blockchain/crypto thing as well since now many ERC20 based projects who have problems to develop because of high gas fees can now switch to Cardano and everything might get cheaper and faster!

About 15% of my crypto investments are $ADA (Cardano). So far, i just knew little about it and what I read was more on the technical side.

I just had a little bit time to read about it on the Cardano website. It is really amazing. Cardano is not just about investing and making money. It is no meme coin like $DOGE (Dogecoin) and not a digital gold thing like $BTC . It is a blockchain like Ethereum but for me it looks much better. 

You can say that Bitcoin doesn’t have an intrinsic value. I am not sure, you might be true. But you cannot neglect that Cardano has an enormous intrinsic value.

There are so many great projects based on Cardano. Just have a look on africa.cardano.com for example. Cardano is already on the way of changing the life of people in Ethiopia to the better and I think it has the potential to change the life of all of us. 

So far, cryptocurrencies have more or less been a investment, trading or gambling things for a small minority. I guess that not even 10% of people in Germany or Austria own cryptocurrencies. But Cardano might one day be something that has an effect on everyone. Just as Social Media did from 2010 onwards or the internet itself did 10-15 years earlier.

So, I guess I have to read even more about it and maybe give Cardano a higher percentage in my portfolio.

Just had a little facebook discussion with a teacher I know. Luckily not my son’s teacher. He was sharing stupid chain letters on facebook.

I am really worried. It is so obvious that so many teachers have zero media competence, zero economic competence and in addition zero self reflection.

For me, schools to a high degree only teach children to obey, to believe what they are taught and to accurately repeat that. And I have to confess that although I was amongst the best pupils in my class, I really hated school. 

Don’t tell me about alternative schools. What alternatives do we have in Europe? Those private alternative schools like Waldorf schools where you just learn “how to dance your name”? Or those elite schools where the father’s income is the only thing that matters? 

Yes, I think that music is nice and painting and sports etc. and that money is not the only thing that’s important. Yes, yes, yes. But I am not talking about money. I am also not talking about those business schools where you just learn to be a good “high class slave” for the economy. I mean real economic competence.

But there are new things coming up. MOOCs are today, tomorrow we will probably face blockchain education. No, I do not mean courses on how to get rich with Bitcoin. I mean teaching and learning that is based on blockchain technologies. Competences that are proved on blockchain records, may they be obtained from universities or from private tutors. 

Here is an article, that I just found. I think I have to dive deeper into that topic. 

I don’t know! Should I be angry with Elon Musk because of his statements about Bitcoin, Doge etc.? 

Maybe. Please don’t get me wrong. He is allowed to say whatever he wants to to say. Nevertheless his statements are harming the trust in cryptocurrencies. I am not angry because I “lost” money. He even “lost” more money. It’s because other people now lose trust.

But maybe I should be angry with all of those people that panically sold their Bitcoins because of his statements. Hey, Elon Musk is NOT the god of cryptocurrencies, he is NOT the god of Bitcoin, he is NOT the god of investing. For me he is not even the god of electric mobility. (Just to let you know: I have successfully completed two courses on electric mobility on two of the best Technical Universities in Europe.) 

The crazy thing is that those people are the biggest losers. They lost more money than I did. And in relation to their wealth they los more money than Elon Musk did. They bought high after he invested and now they are selling low because of misleading tweets during a discussion.

So, dear disciples of Elon Musk, please stop buying or selling Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency because he said something that you do not really understand! Get informed on cryptocurrencies, get informed on investing! Maybe first of all get to know the difference between investing, trading and gambling.

Last week I invested around 100 in MerchantToken. That’s the first ICO I take part on and I am really curious on what will happen and if it was a good idea or not.

Well, many people said that MerchantToken is a scam. I really do not think so but who knows. I cannot guarantee to you that it is not a scam. I chose MerchantToken because the idea sounds good to me. For telling you that this is the best or so I definitely do not know enough about alle the other ICO projects.

Currently I am observing a lot of more ICOs. ICOs are promising but I know that many of them don’t work out. There are a lot of gems outside and I am sure that some of them will provide an ROI of more than 10,000%. But which ones? 

I think finding them is real hard work and I have to do good research. In addition, I have to have good luck as well. 

One of my current personal constraints is that I do not want to spend that much money on such risky adventures. 100 or 200 USD (of money that I have already earned with crypto) is ok for me, but not 500 or 1,000 USD as some require. So I maybe won’t have access to the real gems, but let’s see.

Elon Musk tells us that he won’t accept Bitcoin for buying Teslas anymore because of environmental issues. Almost unbelieveable, that he didn’t know that before. 

Of course, Bitcoin dumps. And - yeah, yesterday was a holiday. It were the private investors who made it dump. 

Today is a working day again but many people took a day off. I wonder what will happen on Monday. I guess institutional investors will use the dip to buy Bitcoin. Then, the private investors who sold cheap will buy more expensive in fear of missing out. Who lost? The poor. Who won? The rich.

I don’t want to accuse Elon Musk of anything. I am thankful for his merits in the field of electric mobility. He has great ideas, he has stupid ideas as well. That’s ok.

But it is not ok to see him as god. Crypto currencies and blockchain technology have such big chances. It might make you rich in almost no time. It might help you build up wealth. But if you do not get your emotions under control and if you make panic decisions just because just one single person said this or that, it will make you poor and some rich people richer!
