okay but for everyone who didnt watch cruella the funniest part about cruella’s mom being killed by dalmatians is that because disney didnt have the balls to make 2021 girlboss cruella a dog killer the dalmatians killing her mom has virtually no affect on her development as a villain. at the end of the movie she literally adopts the same dalmatians that killed her mom and sends their puppies to the two main characters in 101 dalmatians as gifts

watched Cruella and i LOVED it. totally did not expect the story to take that turn. honestly it’s fun and camp. like please ignore the people making memes about how it was supposed to be about cruella making revenge on dalmatians cause this movie is totally Not a Villain Backstory. it’s self-contained and has influences of the original. think of it as an AU or Alternate Universe where Cruella is a glam-punk fashion designer with a hobby of doing heists. she has wicked tendencies, but she is not a bad person here. in fact, she’s complex. it’s just another take and it’s great entertainment

Imagine if people applied the “outdoor cat” logic to dogs too. We’d have a bunch of dogs running outside freely, collecting parasites and diseases, getting hit by cars, harassing/killing any smaller animals and breeding like crazy. And when you told someone that they probably shouldn’t let their dog outside without a leash because it’s not exactly safe, they’d just be like “oh well you know he’s happier that way and all that stuff is just a normal part of a dog’s life lol what can ya do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯”.
