US Border Agents Intentionally Stepped in Front of Moving Vehicles to Justify Shooting at Them

An internal review of the US Border Patrol raises serious questions about the agency’s use-of-force policy.

Border Patrol agents have intentionally and unnecessarily stepped in front of moving cars to justify using deadly force against vehicle occupants.

Agents have shot in frustration across the US-Mexico border at rock throwers when simply moving away was an option.

Border Patrol demonstrates a “lack of diligence” in investigating incidents in which US agents fire their weapons.

It’s questionable whether Border Patrol “consistently and thoroughly reviews” incidents in which agents use deadly force.

The ice agent was seen drawing his gun while her car was still in reverse, she was moving forward when he fired his first shot through the windshield. I don’t know if that first shot hit and wounded her. The shooter likely saw if he had wounded the driver. He probably had no idea if the (likely) wound would be fatal. Now beside the car, at worst having been brushed by the car’s fender, and no one else in her path, he fired two kill shots through the driver’s window. (Police refer to this as a double tap) He could clearly see the impact of these shots, he knew then she had essentially no chance of surviving. (No testimony from her refuting his claim of fearing for his life)

I don’t see Renee Good as a hero or a saint, I see her as a victim of excessive force by ice agents. Anything in her past is irrelevant, and had nothing to do with the incident. Ice agents escalated when they could have de-escalated, one put himself into possible harms way, two others rushed to her car as if to pull her out. Her reaction of driving away to avoid being dragged out of her car, was predictable.

First, how does Thomas Matthew Crooks (the alleged shooter) get within 130 yds and without being seen, climbing onto a roof with a rifle?

Second, 8 shots were fired, if the shooter were trying to get Trump, it seems odd to me that no secret service agents (who piled onto him as shots were fired) were hit by that hail of bullets.

Third, the whole incident quickly turned performative. Trump had got the secret service to stop and let him expose himself while pumping his fist in the air and yell “fight, fight, fight”. He did this in pretty much the only place the US Flag would appear in the background.

Fourth, there was no official report from the hospital as to the extent of his wound. Dr. Ronnie Jackson (former whitehouse doctor aka the “candyman” for freely dispensing drugs to staff) did announce that the wound to Trump’s ear was 2 cm across. Two cm is about 3/4 of an inch, which is the size of a penny. He next continued the performative aspect by appearing at the Republican National Convention with a white rectangular gauss bandage covering most of his right ear. No attempt at anything but to draw attention to 6 square inches of bright white gauss. He wore that through the convention. When Trump met with Netanyahu 13 days after the shooting, he showed off his ear to him saying he’s a fast healer. Indeed there was no sign of damage.

No picture of his right ear since has shown any damage or scar. The best photo I’ve seen is the recent Time magazine cover photo which clearly shows his baldness, his wattle and a perfect unscarred ear.
