She’s no stranger to those that relocate others’ posessions, so to say. Hell, there’s some in Rhodes Island. Mostima has seen many kinds of such in her work, and met some herself. Many of them were in fact charming personalities, albeit that was something that didn’t really matter.
The angel was slowly becoming more and more sure that there was someone beside her here. She stopped right on her tracks, and asked into the possible nothingness:
“Who’s there?”
and the nothingness will just stare back; perhaps a more fearless operator would lift their head and identify themselves as they would to friend and foe alike, but Rope is chilled by the voice and decides to wait for another sign, another call, another something. Silent observation was one of her strong points to begin with, that too enhanced by the fact that her black attire does well to blend in with the dark for uninterrupted scrutiny of her targets -------- but between that ominous looking halo that glimmers in the distance, and the unlit corridor between them both, Rope is less than willing to take a step towards this unknown person.
however, if this was a worst - case scenario involving someone snooping around base that shouldn’t be snooping, then she was better off taking evasive action, and so Rope lets her grappling hook fly and snag onto the ceiling metal grating with a loud echoing CLANG!

me as a writer? I love it when people tell me about their characters and if they have an idea on how to cross universes and bend physics to make our thread even possible, then that’s absolutely wicked, I want 10 of those moments, and you are now my new best friend, no refunds available.

I hope you don’t mind me answering like this!
what I want people to know about me:
- facial horror / body horror is an instant block from me, even if it’s a passing meme or something, like that stuff seriously gives me the heebie jeebies
- i would like to think i’m super approachable! you can always swing by my DM’s to just share memes or give me constructive criticism on a piece I wrote or even just drop in to pitch an idea for our character interactions!
- I am literally always down for dashboard crack / one - liners and all that jazz that wakes up the entire fandom, and if you don’t start the party, then you’re a scaredy cat coward and i will absolutely start it myself.
a few things I worry about new people:
- hopefully that they stick around with me, given the fact that I am no longer the fastest writer on the planet anymore and the fact that I have a completely out of whack irl schedule.
- that people just look at a few of my posts and characterize me a certain way. I’m very optimistic nobody here is that ridiculous, but it’s happened before and so I think about it possibly happening someday.
Should people be nervous to send you things at all?

no no no !!! if I do make anyone nervous on the idea of sending me things, I don’t mean to make you feel that way, and I apologize for that! I love to talk to new people, especially if you’re the type that can talk about your character and their world for hours and hours, and I love responding to your energy and enthusiasm that you send asks in with because seeing and reading those gets me excited as well, and hella entertained !!

THEY SAY CHERNOBOG WAS A LOT MORE THAN THIS, more than the landmarks of rubble and craters and all of the vaporized debris that she sees through her binoculars. This once populous Ursus city was destroyed by a fierce Catastrophe, that much Rope remembers learning from the mission briefing, but nothing could have prepared her for the somber sight of the devastation that greets these Rhodes Island operators that dare to step back into this ruined land.
As if on cue, SilverAsh wonders aloud. Rope wonders if he's being dramatic.
Then again, being deployed on an assignment with one of the Kjerag’s biggest leaders wasn’t exactly a regular picnic in the park. In fact, the entire task force was full of operators that had seemingly little do with each other, be it the stoic Hellagur standing a distance away with his gaze set on the city, Grani on what is likely to be her twenty - third patrol of their temporary base of operations, or even Earthspirit who is apparently in the middle of a conversation with... a boulder? That one needed more than just a physical evaluation when they got back.
Well, if it was the Doctor’s genius at play grouping them all together, then she wouldn’t say a word against it, but the concept of pairing all these accomplished operators under one mission assignment was refreshing in a way. Whether they had known each other or not beforehand was one thing, but Rope coming back from her scouting to watch the team draw up routes to the suspected Originite Prime ore sites and separate into smaller squads like a well - oiled machine? Now that was a sight for sore eyes!
‘ Self - torment? Gee, you’re making it sound like they opened a Catastrophe club every Friday night or something! ’ Rope snickers, before slipping her binoculars into one of her satchels. She’s never been one to socialize with authority figures of all people given her rather infamous track record, but there’s something in the way that SilverAsh speaks that strikes her as profound, as if every minute he spent out here in the wasteland would be a moment forever memorialized in history -------- then again, he was already a pretty cool guy to talk to, unlike half of the operators she’s been forced to hang out with. It’s not like he would tattle on her to Ch’en, right?
Voices in the distance steer her away from her thoughts, and Rope glances to see Liskarm leading the first advance party down the hill towards the city limits. Sooner or later it would be time for their own party of four to head out as well, and so she raises both arms to the sky to stretch one more time before making her way over to where SilverAsh stands ever so majestically against the backdrop of the afternoon sun. Really, how does he keep doing that?
‘ When we first got here, I didn’t think the Doctor was right about Reunion hiding out in a place like this. It just seemed against common sense, you know? I mean, what is Reunion going to do in a dead city? Start a campfire? But now that we know they’re out there with all of those crystals... I’m just hoping we don’t run into too much trouble on our way in. ’

Rope has been the type of person that you become friends with by circumstance, but unless she really likes you and initiates a dynamic with you herself, she tends to be rather shy and sometimes reluctant to throw herself into a conversation with people she doesn’t know anything about.
That being said, she would likely accept direct gifts from others while being as formal as possible, because who in their right mind is going to ever say NO to free stuff??? On the other hand, spending time with her can feel like she’s being forced to be nice in your company and will probably involve more silence than actual dialogue, unless she knows a thing or two about you and decides to be a little bit curious about you.
When it comes to the more persistent operators and actors in the Rhodes Island scene, Rope is a lot less formal and somewhat more talkative, even to the individuals that she’s tolerating as opposed to, along with the operators she likes to the point that she would invite them over for a pajama party. She understands what they’re all about at this level of interaction, and she has a pretty good idea of how far she can tease or loosen up in the company of others before she’s crossed one of her own lines on not opening up to people.
And that gets unlocked once you hit E3 with her ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

DID HE SENSE HER BEHIND HIM? the operator named Rope cannot say for sure, and she takes a quick hop backwards, instinct guiding her hand to the sheathe of her knife, only for her to waver upon feeling the shape of cold steel through her gloves, and instead she turns to wit to mask her surprise.
‘ Aha! I knew something was different about you today! ’
A playful banter only works when there is an opponent to read, but in the Doctor, she finds too little to work with. Between the lack of irritation in the Doctor’s voice and the open, yet ominous vibes that he exudes with his hands deep in his pockets, Rope is almost tempted to believe that this leader of Rhodes Island is making a genuine effort to welcome her to this wonderful, magical floating city on wheels that had saved her and someday the world too.
But Rope knows better than that to believe that.
‘ I think I’ll pass this time, Doctor, ’ she calls out, before standing up to her full height. Perhaps one day she might be childish enough to trust the man that she was sold to, but as long as the Lungmen barcode remains on her jacket, all Rope has to offer is a spurious smile more distant than the space between where they stand in this corridor before she turns to walk away.

Talk after Trust Increase 2: A lot of people died from this same disease. I kinda gave up, and thought the same thing would happen to me until I ended up at Rhodes Island...
