This must have been the fifth time Exusiai exits the firing range. It was not practice; this she had enough. It was more like a vain attempt to keep herself occupied. It wasn’t frustration! No, absolutely not. Certainly it was not the sankta dissatisfied with her forced time-out; she had done nothing wrong! Penguin Logistics prided itself in always doing things right. So it was not her fault that the “very-obvious-consequence-of-her-actions-and-the-money-we-will-have-to-spend-fixing-all-of-this” or whatever Croissant kept freaking out about happened!
This was what she fervently believed, and honestly? That was enough! That was OK! What was not okay, however... was the fact that she was stranded at Rhodes Island. Texas simply said “we will fetch you when we need you”, and Exusiai knew enough of her partner that it just meant that she was to be under the supervision of adults.
A bunch of crap, if you asked her. But you didn’t! But also she refused to sit still. Speaking of refusals: there was apparently a grand sale happening in one of the big name stores at Lungmen! Guess who was not allowed to go. This girl!
Guess who was going anyway? Also this girl! About refusals: Texas had given her a flat “no” about it. Second options it is! And by second options, that means the Doctor. Better to get him out of that stuffy room. Better yet: if he accompanied her, then that would count as being ‘under supervision’. Right? Right. Right, whatever!
So it is not anything new that she knocks at iron doors, cheerful voice as always.
A slight pause. Was he awake? Well, it would not hurt to try.
“I was thinking-- and listen to me before you say no! You’ve been pushing yourself way too hard, and I know a place that is selling really cool clothes right now! At a really huuuuge discount! I think -- for both your fashion sake, and mine -- we should go! “
She is absolutely sure Kal'tsit wouldn’t mind if she just kidnapped one of the most important people for a single evening.
“It would be better than to be stuck in this room the whole day anyway! Did I mention they have huge LMD discounts? We can grab something later to eat, too!”
And that would definitely not be the weird mustard packs the Doctor seemed to be so fond of.
