I can't begin to count the amount of times I've had to witness drama because someone's believed I've said something suspect and instead of opening a dialogue privately and asking me to clarify, they assumed the worst and humiliated themselves in front of whatever group they were trying to "warn" about me.

The way Rick tried so hard to make Annabeth a straight girl so she could be Percy's Ideal GirlfriendTM that he accidentally made her one of his most lesbian-coded characters(aside from the canon lesbians obv)...I'm really expected to believe that a girl who is uncomfortable with feminine things and prefers masc/gender neutral stuff(butchness),was written as having a 'crush' on a guy seven years older than her who raised her since she was 7 which was then revealed to actually be sibling love(comphet),is constantly thinking and talking about how annoying and stupid(Percy isn't but)her male love interest is and refuses to compliment him on a regular basis yet is incredibly desperate to stay with him(more comphet)AND bonded so well with the first female friends(Piper and Reyna)she had her age that it's more believable that she has feelings for them than she does her boyfriend isn't a lesbian.Has Rick ever gone outside????

Lesbians being butch is not a stereotype.Butchness is a part of a lot of lesbians lives-some of which are my friends, who i've seen talk about it multiple times.Being gender nonconforming is something cishets can be but the REASON it gets treated as a bad thing is because lgbtphobes percive them as lgbt-in this case,straight masculine woman are stigmatized because they're percived as butch lesbians.And i know feminine gay women exist-i'm a very feminine bi woman
