when I wrote this record I was sitting on my porch all fucking day. I swear to God, I sat on my porch from the moment that I woke up and I smoked probably three packs of cigarettes a day. don't do that, don't do it. and my buddies used to come upstairs and they'd be like "come on LG, we've gotta go downstairs" cause there's a studio in my house. and they said "come on, we gotta go downstairs and make music". and I wrote this record, and when I wrote this record I didn't want to make it a dance record because it was fucking sad and I wrote it at a piano and that's how I wanted it to be. but my friends told me to make it a dance record and we did. so if you're wondering why there's 60 foot fucking flames on the stage it's because what this stage really is a big representation of that fucking porch that I sat on 365 days feeling sorry for myself. and I wanted to burn the fucking porch!
