@nasa i hope you know livestreaming this online for free for anyone anywhere in the world without ads and without any non-mission-specific commentary was the greatest part of this whole experience for me. It felt like i went there and back with you all. I’m so happy to be a human right now and i hope you know you’ve contributed to that greatly. I learned so much too. About space flight, about physics, about the moon, and so much more. Please do this again for Artemis III and IV and beyond. I’m so excited to see what’s next.

A very brief summary of some of the science conducted during the Artemis II mission:

astronaut health - affects of space travel on humans, including studies about radiation, immune biomarkers, sleep, etc.

international science missions - Germany, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Argentina are flying CubeSats (miniature, standardized satellites) with science experiments aboard each one

space weather - studies of radiation effects on electrical hardware and the human body

lunar science ops - studies on impact cratering, volcanism, tectonism, and lunar ice
