Light it up

Like I'm 400 pages in (out of 700 pages) but it is getting harder for me to enjoy this book. Like the fmc has no real personality, she is just constantly crying and fainting and getting saved by the mmc. And they are both just constantly thinking about how hot the other person is and how much they would like to fuck each other. The. Whole. Time.

And the last scene I read (that made me rethink if I really want to keep reading this book) was them having to "pretend" that they are having sex (in a sense that she is his prostitute and he bought her💀) infront of an audience at a club (oh and their friends are sitting directly next to them). Think the scene with Feyre and Rhysand in acomaf where she is sitting on his lap and he is touching her and telling her that how her body reacts to his touch is totally normal and "doesn't mean anything". That scene just made me totally uncomfortable 💀💀

Now the reason why I picked this up is because it was said that this book is perfect for fans of Crescent City. Crescent City is one of my favorite book series so I was excited to read it but let's be honest it is so similiar to it is borderline plagiarization and not in a good way (like Powerless and Red Queen).

But the reason why I want to keep reading and even enjoy this book is because I own this stunning Owlcrate edition and I really love its design so much😭 But if I dnf this book then I probably need to resell it ugh
