forgiving yourself constantly and generously, so frequently that it becomes habit, is a great form of healing. most of what you punish yourself for is wasted potential that exists in an abstract and invisible place only you can see.

Let me tell you, if you are ever with a person who has anxiety, and they ask you to order their food for them, or stand next to them when they buy something, or reassure them countless times exactly the time and place where you will be meeting them at, DO NOT ROLL YOUR EYES, DO NOT SIGH IN EXASPERATION, AND DO NOT TELL THEM TO STOP BEING SO SILLY. Sometimes its hard to do simple things like that, and when people help us out, it means the world to us.

When someone says to me, "I'm praying for you" — and I know they are sincerely saying that, I don't take that lightly. You know why? Because it means they're carving a moment out of time to say my name in the most personal of settings. It means they're making room for me in their thoughts, they're pleading on my behalf, vouching for me. It means they're speaking to the divine about me, it means they care so much about my situation that I'm a part of their most intimate moment with the universe. I'm in their wishes, in their dua. What better gift? What deeper love?
