[watercolors & water soluble crayons]

i havent used watercolors since i was like. 13 . and i am trying to finally Grow, mature, and get over my hatred of painting, so i am using watercolor paints (and crayons) as babysteps.

this was an experiment but it was rlly rlly fun!!!!!! will absolutely do this more often. i kind of want to makethis a print but i dont know how id go abt that.... i will learn!!! its so so vibrant irl and the different lighting and angles are an attempt to capture both the vibrancy and texture.

anyway, this alll stemmed from me saying id draw my buddy a pomegranate so i decided to use it for my little warm up. shoutout! ill mail this to them.

i need to get better at printing!! im gonna try to print more 'officially' with the ladybug one. its justsoooo cute and i need it on some clothing or patches.

i started making that like a year ago and i just FINALLY quickly finished it up today LOL. the munna stamps are all new today. i quoted her from the game :3 i love those silly little pkmn dungeon games LOLLL. i want to make another one of her and hydreigon because duh.

anyway, might reupload if i ever get official prints with these so dontbe surprised. they are pretty crummy but im just glad to be making stuff and practicing. i just wanted to get these out on paper.

btw sorry the dreameater one is shown so many times its just so cutie to me

i also think i should & willstart dating my pieces on my post since i want to queue up a bit of stuff. i couldnt rlly do that since all my previous stuff is older, but i can now!

some process sketches. im not great at drawing animals, so i have to practice them quite a few times before i get the hang of it. get the general feel and flow of it before i can do my own thing, sketching out the general shape quite a few times before i actually get it down. then i can try for a serious drawing. ive got the rockdove down, now im trying for some other doves.

i was also practicing with a new material to see how it draws and layers^^
