The touchy-feeliness in Rurouni Kenshin (Manga)

So I’ve really been into Japanese dramas lately, and what I find so wonderful is how beautifully romance is played out between two lovers, without them even so much as touching each other once!

Now, it is no secret that I’ve internally complained of the lack of touchy-feeliness (holding hands, a kiss here and there) between Kenshin and Kaoru, because honestly, any die-hard Ruroken fangirl would love to see at least a little kiss between the two, right?

My point is that after seeing how the Japanese subtly, yet beautifully portray romance in dramas, I can honestly say that I’m satisfied with the amount of touchy-feeliness (or lack thereof) between Kenshin and Kaoru in the Manga :)

Idk anyone else who read the Hokkaido arc but after having just re-watched the first episode of Trust and Betrayal OVA again, I'm actually interested in a chapter of when Kenshin was young before he was adopted by Seijuro Hiko. How he was a poor young kid struggling to survive but still has a pure heart that didn't become bitter despite the harshness of the world.
