I've been kinda bored by it, off and on, myself! And I find it's pretty easy to keep going because I uh, like getting into fights. Especially for causes I think are good. Like freedom and what have you.

Well, the super-short version goes: The magistrates who run the planet have invited a coalition of megacorporations to import an army and eventually a fleet, to come and crush the revolution these magistrates have been in a cold war with for a while. If I don't interfere, the magistrates get what they want, and then get wiped out by the corporate coalition also. At that point the coalition will break down and fight over "the birthplace of humanity" (it isn't) as if it was just... any other fringe border-world.

On top of that mass-death looming in the short-term, the sun is dying and the planet's freezing to death in the long-term.

Oh. I see. I imagine you've seen a lot of outcomes of this conflict, then. And you know what happens if you don't interfere... I can't imagine the pressure that can put a person under. It's none of my business, but - Are you able to die? Does your death just restart the loop? Are there any other failure states? What's your natural lifespan?

I managed to convince the station owners to provide me a hardly-used storage room as a Scriptorium.

The way out I took last time is sealed shut, unfortunately. Like, cosmically. Which is a huge point for the "something is doing this to me" theory, actually. When I think about it.

It's a big galaxy, though, shot through with ancient and present-day mad scientists, and I'm sure if I dug around I could weasel my way out again. Except I kinda convinced myself to try and save the planet, at least once. Maybe I'll get let out, after.
