Just enjoying way to many fandoms at a time

It dawned on you suddenly, in the middle of the night of you hanging with them in the cave. Dwayne was in the middle of the chase that was taking place. Marko was running after Paul, while Dwayne sat in the middle of it all, and David sat near you, watching it.

"I am still surprised they lived to that day." He whispered to you with a smirk. You nudged his shoulder.

"Give them some credit, it takes a lot of luck to survive with one braincell." You whispered back, making David smile.

"Hey, we hear you, lovebirds!" Paul threw some magazine in your direction. David caught it and stood from his place, making the blonde shriek and try to get away. You smiled, watching as David join the game of chasing as well.

You stayed in your spot, thinking about how you wanted this moment to never end. You felt free in this place. You felt as yourself with them. You felt at peace with your thoughts. It was amazing. It was as if you were...

The sudden thought made you shiver. There was no way you were in love with them. There were four of them. More so they were friends. No, maybe you just... Felt sympathy towards one of them, and that's it!

But... They all were close to you. Close to each other. You couldn't think of being close to one and not to others... Shit, you were done.

"You good?" Dwayne near you made you shiver and jump. You didn't even notice how he came up to you. He raised an eyebrow to this, already sitting near you. You shifted a bit and forced a smile.

"Yeah, totally, I'm fine! Just... Had enough, I think." You moved your bottle of beer away and looked at the boys. You hoped you looked normal and not suspicious at all. They believed you. For now.

You tried to shun away these feelings. They should have been foreign for you. They were dangerous. You all were friends and being in love with four of your friends was wrong.

But the more you hung out with them, the more you noticed how your eyes followed Marko with worry when he was starting another fight. How your heart clenched in your chest, when Paul flirted with someone. How you listened so eagerly to every word Dwayne said to you. And how you lingered behind David on his bike, wishing for the moment to last longer.

So because of your inability to contain your own feelings, you started to distance yourself from them. Maybe, if you would spend some time not with them, but alone or with another friends, it would be easier to forget?

"I found part-time job, sorry, can't ride with you." You didn't even lie, you did find a job, so you couldn't always hang out with them.

"Oh, I talked with my friend about going to the cinema, I completely forgot about it." You... Almost didn't lie, you just stayed at home alone and watched some movie, rather than spend the night with these four nice, beautiful, hot... Not again.

"I don't feel so good." Yeah, about yourself, because how could you fell for your four friends and expect something in return?

"I forgot and fell asleep." You were sleepless, but not always, so... Another half-lie.

And tons and tons more of excuses. You still spent time with them, but tried to limit it to the point where you wouldn't think of them again as of "love material".

All was for nothing. They still lived in your thoughts 24/7

"There is definitely something going on!" Marko exclaimed, too nervous to speak in a normal tone of voice.

"You nerves aren't helping!" Paul exclaimed in response, laying on the couch. Dwayne looked at David, who glanced back at him.

"Maybe they are busy..." The brunette tried.

"Yeah, right, when was this a problem for them?" Paul scoffed, looking at Dwayne. The latter sighed.

"I am trying to be rational." He shook his head. They all were nervous, but you never lied to them. What was going on now? They should have trusted you, but your behaviour was getting really strange.

"What if they are in danger? Maybe some hunters made them stay away?" Marko stopped in his pacing and looked frantically between all of the guys. David rubbed his forehead with a finger.

"Hunters would make themselves known already, it's not them." He threw the cigarette to the barrel and stood from his place. "But you are right. They are strange."

"Can we go to them?" Marko looked at David pleadingly. He nodded.

"Bikes. They got lively neighborhood." He added. Dwayne sighed, moving after the guys to the bikes. He was nervous, of course, but he let you have your time and space. He had the common sense and understood that you wouldn't willingly like the ones that stalked you.

You didn't know they were going to visit you. You just sat in your living room, trying to concentrate on a book you were trying to finish in the last month. It was going really hard. You were so entranced in reading that you didn't even hear the bikes.

Knock on the front door made you jump on your couch, and you furrowed brows. You didn't order anything, so why were there someone at your door? You carefully put the book on the couch and went to the front door. Knocking repeat themselves couple of times and you heard some whispers behind your door.

"I know they are behind it... Shush, you bughead!" You stopped before the door, not understanding who or why was there.

"Who's there?" You asked, not going too closely to the door.

"Kitten, it's us." Shit. It was David's voice. And whispers probably belonged to Marko. You sighed. Calm thoughts, clear mind and no shyness or anything like that. You opened the door and smiled a bit tensed.

"Hey! Didn't expect to see you guys here. I thought you are on the Boardwalk tonight."

"And you are lively for someone that doesn't feel good." David responded, entering your house right past you. Right, you forgot what you had told them this time.

"Oh, I... I felt better, thought a little sleep will help, you know?" You smiled awkwardly, returning to the couch and closing the book now. It felt a lot different - be in the cave or be here, in your place with them. It was too... Personal in some way.

"Baby, you know we know when you are lying, right?" Paul plopped on your couch, looking at you expectantly. You giggled nervously.

"What?"

"You've been avoiding us." David said seriously. He definitely didn't beat around the bushes and you were a bit taken aback by his bluntness. Of course they would notice, it would be silly of you to think that they wouldn't. Though... They didn't notice you crush on them. Thankfully. Your head already started to hurt.

"Uhm... I think you are imagining things. I've been just busy lately, I'm not lying." You shook your head. Marko suddenly appeared in front of you, pushing you on the couch, and sat on your lap.

"We are not! You are always sick or busy nowadays. It's like one day in eternity..."

"In a week or two." Dwayne corrected him.

"In eternity!" Marko insisted. "When you hang out with us. What is going on? Is someone threatening you? Or telling you bad things? One word, doll, and we..."

"Hey, wow, relax, hero-bat." You snickered and blushed from how close he was to you. "There is nothing wrong with me. I'm just busy, and because of my new work I don't feel so good most of the times."

"Lies." David looked at you seriously. "We know when you are lying." He was adamant to get you to admit to your lies, it seemed. And you were fixated on not telling them the truth.

"Are you leaving the town? And trying to noble save us from the pain of separation?" You looked at Paul, who was at your side, dramatically whining. It was psychological attack, it should have been.

"What... No, have you smoked today?"

"Don't lie and don't be soft, baby! I am a grown adult, I can take it." Paul suddenly looked at you with wide eyes, as if understanding something new for him. You cautiously moved a bit away.

"What's with the look?.."

"Are you dying?" You were dumbfounded. Paul's mind jumped from one conclusion to another very quickly, and you weren't fast enough to keep up with him. "If you are dying and want to leave us, tell me right now. I promise..." He sobbed. "I will take it well."

"I'm not dying!"

"Yes you are! You are strange, you are distant, you always have some poor excuses! You are going to diiiiie." He whined fully volume-on. You were surprised and taken aback by this outburst, but still pulled him to you as much as you could with Marko on your lap and hugged him.

"I am not dying, Paul. Nor I am leaving Santa-Carla. Please, calm down."

"You promise?" He looked at you with sad puppy eyes. You shook your head with a heavy sigh. This boy was full of emotions.

"I promise." You sighed and smiled a bit when he hugged you back. He was much older than you, he was dangerous creature of the night, who kills people. And he was hugging you like it was your last hug in forever. He was like big baby sometimes. "You are so cute. All of you. No one has ever worried about me like you do. You have no idea how much I love you all."

"Really?" You nodded at Paul's mumbling absent-mindedly, not understanding what you had just said. "Finally!"

"Wait, what... Oh shit." You closed your eyes, the realisation of what you had just said hitting you with full force. You shifted, trying to move away from Paul and Marko, but the taller one was still hugging you and the other one sat on you. No chance of escaping.

"That doesn't explain why they hide away from us, Paul, don't be cocky about your plan working." Marko pushed him in the shoulder.

"Plan? What?" You were dumbfounded. They didn't pay attention to your confession at all. And you were so nervous about it! You breath got caught up in your throat, and your head was hurting more and more.

"Don't get off the theme." David came closer to you, standing right behind Marko and not going anywhere. "Why did you avoid us?"

"Can you stop for a moment!" You exclaimed, visibly shaken by everything that was going on. You just spilled the beans about your crush on them, but they acted like nothing happened. They still pressured you to tell them non-existent reason for your absence. And didn't let go of you. They just pushed and pushed You closed your eyes and tried to huddle.

"Get off." Dwayne's voice sounded closely, but not so much like Marko's or Paul's. Suddenly the weight from your lap disappeared, and Paul went away from your side. "Y/N? Princex, look at me, please." He didn't touch you, but was close, according to the sound.

You shook your head. You were too much in your own head to think clearly, your thoughts intertwined and mixed with each other. Your heart was beating out of your chest. You breathed heavily and couldn't imagine to face them all now or ever.

"Princex, we are not going to hurt you. Look at me, please." He repeated quietly and patiently You sighed and opened your eyes. Dwayne was sitting in front of you on his knees. David lingered somewhere behind him, while the crazy duo was gone from your view. "There you go. You are safe."

"I'm sorry, it's just..."

"Too much, I know. Just breathe. I am not pushing you. Do you need water? Something else?" You shook your head. "Alright. Then just breathe for me. And when you are ready, we are gonna talk." He sent somewhat stern stare at something behind your back. Probably at Marko and Paul.

It took you couple minutes to even your breath and calm yourself down completely. Dwayne was patiently sitting in front of you, not moving. You looked up at him. He noticed it and smiled a bit.

"You're okay, princex?" You nodded slowly. "Good. Now let's get one thing out of the way. Are you in danger?"

"No, not at all, no danger." You answered quietly. Dwayne nodded.

"Did something happen in your life that takes away all of your time? Do you need any help?"

"No, everything's fine." You breathed out. You looked at him and then glanced at David. "How are you so calm about it?"

"About what?" Dwayne asked quietly. You blushed again and lowered your head, thinking of the ways to explain your feelings.

"I think I got it." David said and suddenly his voice sounded very loudly for the room, making you shiver. "You are so worried because of your feelings towards us? More than friends' feelings?" You pursed your lips together and nodded unsurely. You immediately heard a groan from behind you.

"Really?! That was all there was?!" Paul exclaimed. You felt your heart sped up again. There comes the part where they tell you how disgusted and disappointed they are in you. Dwayne quickly got you out of your thoughts, taking your hands in his.

"Are you afraid we... Reject you?"

"What else your reaction would be?!" You scoffed. "There are four of you and that is not normal to fall for several people!"

"We are not technically people..." Paul noticed.

"But still! It's not normal and you can't all like me back, not four of you and I can't choose, so the best option is to distance myself from you and forget about it." You tried to sound reasonable and make them understand your point of view. But they were more... Surprised to hear that?

"That was all it was about?" David sighed like he was relieved and tired at the same time. How he made his sigh have undertones - was beyond your understanding. "We aren't people. And normal doesn't apply to us." You furrowed your brows, trying so hard to understand him. "We kill people, live together and ruin every social rule there is, kitten." David stepped to you, continuing his mini-speech. "You really think that polyamory is a no-no for us? We are over hundred years old, minus Paul, he is fifty with something, but the thing is... We tried everything."

"Almost everything." Dwayne corrected him. David didn't even pay attention to him.

"It doesn't matter now. My point is that you can't shun away four vampires, who are in love with you by your affection towards us." David calmly explained. You looked between him and Dwayne with expression of surprise and little hope, not daring to turn around to look at the blondes - they would definitely take it as an invitation.

"In love?!" You were shocked to hear that, but didn't move. Suddenly you were hugged by Marko from behind.

"Very much so, doll." He giggled, kissing you on the cheek.

"You know us better than anyone from outside our coven. You always have. And you didn't notice it?" Dwayne asked with a soft smile. He didn't mean to embarrass you, yet you still felt silly for not understanding it earlier.

"No... You never acted like it." You mumbled.

"You kidding me?! We brought you food, we protected you, we hung out with you, I personally flirted with you several times!" Paul exclaimed, pacing the space behind your couch back and forth.

"To be honest, you speak like that with everyone." You retorted, making Marko giggle. David stepped closer to you, making Dwayne move away. He stretched out his hand to you.

"The night is young. Let's go for a ride. And we can talk about everything." He offered. You thought only for a brief moment. You trusted them, you wanted to see them happy and not nervous. No one had ever worried about you to this extent. And... If they thought your feelings were valid and accepted them, then... Why not try?

You took his hand, knowing that you shouldn't worry about anything now. At all.

Santa Carla is a city of opportunity. A place flourishing with job opportunity and people buzzling about everywhere. But for yourself, a struggling artist, it was the opposite. Running away from home was supposed to be your fresh start, a way to get away from it all and live your life to the fullest. To paint to your heart's desire. But it was nothing like that.

There were no places for you to work and use your artistry to the fullest. The only place you found where you could work was the library. Reading itself was an art but not exactly your forte, but it was close enough and payed decently.

It was 8 at night. The sun set and the amusement park alive with people. By the beach wall you sat with a miniature canvas, paints, and brushes. Every night you'd come to the boardwalk and paint it's colorful passerby's. Unlike your old small town people here dressed unique. So many colors and style subcultures.

Scanning the crowd you hunted for your new inspiration. Person or people to replicate onto your canvas. Your direction was pulled to the sounds of purring engines. To your left under a streetlamp by the very wall you were sitting on, four men looking your age parked their bikes. Their fashion stood out amongst anyone you have ever seen on the boardwalk.

A bleached platinum blonde. His mullet stood sharp, almost as sharp as his eyes. A tall brunet with no shirt under his long coat. His long hair rested on his back. A natural blonde with wild hair and a just as wild personality. And finally the short one with long blonde curls and a face that could combat a cherub's.

Everything about them was perfect. You studied them for minutes and looked away when you felt their curious gazes turn to you. Having all their features down to memory you painted away. You painted all of them standing together standing in their own way. Straight and confident, collected and cool, laid back, goofy.

As you painted each of the men's features you smiled to yourself. This may have been one of your best works yet. When you finished the piece in an hour or two you would definitely give it to them as a gift. Usually you would give the paintings you made of people to them to see their reactions. Every time they were always very grateful and happy, seeing them smile is the reason why art is your passion.

You really hope they would appreciate it though, since they are your temporary muse of inspiration and these four seem pretty intimidating.

"Yeah man I'm telling you she kept looking at us. But when I would look at her she'd look away and start writing shit on her canvas or whatever." Paul said while nudging David. He didn't care when his friend told him that the girl to their right kept sneaking glances at them.

Girls stare at him and his vampiric brothers all the time. What can he say? He knows him and his brothers are hotter than hell so who wouldn't stare?

"What Paul, you wanna talk to her or something? Just go talk to the chick like what you always do." David said with an eyeroll and a freshly lit cigarette hanging from his lips.

Paul bashfully looked down and scratched his neck. "Dude I dunno.. she doesn't seem too interested. Probably looking at us because we dress weird?"

Now David was confused. Was his flirt machine of a brother.. shy? A sly grin curled onto the platinum blondes lips. He looked to Dwayne and Marko and those two seemed to catch on quick about Paul's little crush.

Putting his arm around his blonde brother David said, "Do you perhaps like this girl Pauly?"

Paul growled and shoved him off making Marko and Dwayne holler in laughter.

"Dude you're fucking whipped! Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Marko laughed and held his chest. Paul hit him upside the head with his palm.

"Shut the fuck up!"

Dwayne's laughing reduced to small chuckles. He looked over at the girl who Paul seemed so flustered over. She was wearing a long frilly black skirt and a sage green blouse. Her hair styled uniquely and anklets and bracelets adorned their respected limbs.

"Hm.." Dwayne hummed, "I get what you mean Paul."

Paul shot his taller brother a glare. "Yeah. Should have at least checked her out before makin' fun o' me."

Marko looked over to see what all the fuss was over. His eyes widened a fraction when he saw the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. And she was painting too, something he adored doing.

Sensing someone looking at her Y/n looked up and four pairs of eyes were on her. The eyes of the subjects she was painting at the moment. Feeling like she had been caught doing something wrong, she looked back down at her canvas in a flash and finished up the final finishing touches.

"She was totally checking us out." Paul said smirking, well his insecurity flew out the window.

"Dude she's cute as hell man. How'd we not see her around before? And why didn't you tell us Pauly!" Marko grabbed his terror twin by the shoulders and shook him back and forth.

David snapped his fingers and the two instantly stopped with their rough housing. "We're all going to approach her. Perhaps we will have a meal tonight boys, or more."

Deadly smiles grew on the pack's faces. Time to do what they knew best. Lure and capture.

You stood up when you finally finished the painting. The four of them painted in their signature clothing. All standing together. Two of them smiling and two not. Honestly, you were scared to give this painting to them. What if they didn't like it? Or what if they thought you were some kind of weird stalker?

Walking to the group of the four bikers they all seemed to perk up at your sudden presence.

"What a surprise, we were just about to walk over to you babydoll." The curly haired one said. Your grip on the canvas tightened. Seeming to notice the tallest and only brunet of the group asked,

"What's that you got there sweetheart?"

Ignoring the soaring feeling in your stomach you avoided eye contact with the group and quietly muttered your explanation, "U-Uhm I'm an artist and stuff... It's a hobby and stuff and I paint people on the board walk all the time. And when I saw a-all you four I couldn't help but notice how uniquely dressed you all are. So I painted all of you!"

Looking up at the group finally with a crooked smile on your face you showed them your work and flipped your canvas around revealing your work.

All four of them brought their faces close to the canvas, the two wild blondes started to push and shove and what seemed like the leader of the group punched both of their arms.

"You really did this?" The platinum blonde said. He looked into your eyes, a mixed emotion behind his. His gloved finger pointed at himself painted realistically.

"That's me?"

You nodded and handed the painting to him which he gently accepted.

"Of course that's you silly. I painted the four of y-you. Hope you all like it!"

The four boys looked up at you gratefully. It was sudden but the brunette pulled you into a hug. He didn't seem like the touchy type and it surprised you with his sudden action.

"Thank you sweetheart. My brothers and I appreciate this... a lot. A lot more than you may think." He released you from his chilling yet warm embrace.

"No need to thank me.."

"Dwayne."

"Dwayne, I do this to make people like you and your brother happy. It's what I love about art ya'know?"

He smiled and introduced each of his brothers. David, Paul, and Marko.

"I am truly grateful for this kitten. Say, you wanna ride with us? You know where Hudson's Bluff is right?"

Nodding you let him continue.

"Wanna hang out with us four for the night? Promise we won't let you be bored for even a minute." His black gloved hand twirled a lock of your h/c hair around his finger.

Shyly moving away you muster up the courage to agree and go with him. He asked who you wanted to ride with and Paul seemed to be the most eager to get you to ride with him, so you gave in and got on the back of his bike.

"Hold on doll!" He revved his engine while his brother did the same. Hooting and hollering they sped down the sandy beach taking you to their cave.

"This is just the beginning!" Paul yelled over the sound of the engines. Not understanding him well you tightened your embrace around his torso and leaned in closer.

"You're gonna love us I promise!" Now that one you heard.

They'd found out about your illness, how your heart thudded for no reason and your body grew heavy, weighed down by a fatigue you could never truly get rid of. But that wasn't by choice, you hadn't been careful enough and one episode had slipped through your fingers.

It had scared everyone when you fainted on the boardwalk, even though David would swear that he couldn't care less about human afflictions. You still remembered the tension in his voice, the vice grip he'd had on you afterwards. He'd been just as scared as the others, even if he'd never admit to it.

The rain thudded around you, growing heavier with each passing second. You sighed, letting your head tip back and staring at the black clouds above. It was nearing sunset, they'd be awake soon.

Just a little bit longer, it wasn't as if they'd notice if you slipped in later then usual.

It was Dwayne who found you first, footsteps loud against the terrain. He stopped just behind you, shoes scuffing the earth before he finally seemed to decide something.

"It's raining," he sat down beside you, legs hanging off the edge. "Your hair's gonna get fucked up."

You rolled your eyes, head fuzzy as you tilted it to stare at him. "What happened to a simple good morning?" You spoke with the usual crook of your lips, hiding the turmoil with practiced ease.

Dwayne grinned, leaning closer until his nose barely touched yours. "Good morning," it was whispered, a hint of mischief in his gaze. "Did you miss me-" You pushed his face away, palm of your hand smooshing his nose in the process. "It's been a day," you tried to seem annoyed, letting out a gasp at the sensation of something wet against your palm. "Did you just lick me?!"

His grin only deepened, throwing an arm around your shoulders to pull you closer. "You pushed me away, it was only fair."

"Fuck, you could have told me it was gonna be raining out." Another voice joined them, mud splashing as they plopped down on your other side. "Do you know how hard it is to get my hair like this?"

Paul made a face of disgust, glaring up at the overcast sky as if it had personally offended him. He touched shoulders with you, thigh pressed against yours. You were now officially sandwiched between two terrors, one hanging off your shoulder and the other pressed as close as possible. You breathed in, the noise easing on the exhale.

"You couldn't hear it, dumbass?" Dwayne shoved Paul's shoulder from around you, earning a shove from Paul in return.

You wiggled, bringing your hands up in surrender. "Lets not do that while on the edge of a cliff, thank you." The last thing you needed was to take a nose dive into the sea.

You doubted either of them would actually let that happen, but you weren't feeling like testing that theory out.

Silence enveloped the three of you for a moment, Dwayne refusing to take his arm away from your shoulders and Paul leaning back on his hands. It was a rare moment of calm with those two, you'd be impressed that they could go so long without fucking around if you weren't so… heavy.

It was heavy, this feeling. Not the same lead like weight that came with your illness, but a soul crushing expanse that pulled your very being towards the center of the earth. The noise was fading, the haze fluffing around the edges until the only thing you could focus on was the warmth around your shoulders and the weight against your side.

The rain hitting your face stopped, the splatter of droplets hitting fabric filling the silence. You looked up, blinking at the umbrella that hovered above you.

"Two of you fuckers left the cave knowing it was raining and neither of you thought to bring this?" Marko scoffed, purposefully making it so you were the only one protected from the rain.

"Hey- Watch it man, it's soaking me!" Dwayne flinched as rivers of water slipped off the umbrellas edge, pelting him directly in the face. You stared before the scene seemed to click and a laugh pushed past your numb lips.

Paul was in a similar situation as Dwayne, flinching away just enough to try and dodge the rainwater slipping off the umbrella. "Asshole."

Marko scoffed, not bothering to move from where he hovered behind you. "You're dead, so what if you get wet?" He stared down at you, lips upturned into a smile and yet concern swirled within the depths of his eyes. "Our little dove here is still very much alive, their immune system is shit as it is."

You felt yourself frowning, picking at the wet denim of your jeans. You hadn't thought about that before deciding to go sulk in the rain.

"Fuck," Dwayne pulled you closer, that familiar anxiety on his features. "What if they get hypothermia?" "Then I guess I'll have to warm them with my body," that voice was more then familiar. "It's a sacrifice I'll have to make."

David stood a few steps away, arms crossed and brow arched. "Why are you three idiots out of the ironworks, it's not even fully sundown yet." He purposefully left you out of the equation, you were far more then an idiot.

You listened as they each gave their explanations, melding into one big excuse as they tried to dodge the blame. You looked up at the sky, barely able to see the sun setting past the grey and black of clouds. It hadn't even come to mind that they'd come out before the sun had fully dipped beneath the horizon.

That pulled a frown from you.

Why did they all come out so soon?

"Because we could hear your sulking from a mile away," David's drawl interrupted your thoughts, boots crunching gravel as he stepped closer. "It was getting hard to ignore."

You blinked up at him, confusion creasing your brows. "It wasn't… I was being quiet." "So you were sulking!" Dwayne squeezed your shoulders, ignoring Paul's shove. "What's wrong? Someone make fun of you?"

"Some guy hit on you?" Paul picked up where Dwayne left off, hand coming to rest on your thigh. "Describe them," he flashed a toothy smile, fangs pressing against his bottom lip. "I've been itching for a hunt lately."

Marko slapped the back of Paul's head, shifting the umbrella so it covered you better. "We can't just kill everyone who pisses them off."

You breathed out a sigh of relief, finally some common sense.

"We gotta torture 'em first." Marko finished with a grin, wild and ready for a thrill.

Your sigh of relief turned into one of exasperation.

"Boys," David didn't have to speak loudly for them to listen, a silence covering the cliff. "Let them speak." He wasn't giving you an out, he was demanding an explanation. Ever since you'd lied to him about your little disease, he'd been far less forgiving with your omitting of details during conversations.

You blinked once again, a chill starting to run through your spine. The noise had receded into a dull whine, thoughts slowly returning to you. "I needed to think."

Not a lie, a half truth.

"It's relaxing here."

The boys seemed to understand, each offering their own reply as they eased back into conversation. Marko shoved Dwayne, causing him to almost pull the both of you over the edge and Paul laughed as if it was the funniest thing to ever happen. David watched.
