You only realize the very fine line between gay and asexual when you look at a person and immediately picture which of you is going to propose.

I'm all for ace positivity and we need all that comes our way, but I also want to be more realistic for a second. Realizing that I'm Asexual has been a great relief for me, but also a bit of a burden. Idk if it's just social standards or what, but I feel like my identity makes me miss out on experiences with other people.

I consider myself a sex positive ace, and I try to inform people about safe sex, contraception, masturbation and everything under the umbrella. I apologise if this is TMI but I feel almost as if I'm one of the few aces who eventually do want sex eventually. I'm still not attracted to people, but I feel like there is a possibility that I will want to have sex just for pleasure and not because I like the way the other person looks.

I'm not saying asexual people have to be innocent people who cover their ears when they hear the s word. But I feel like most of us don't talk about sex much, so in case I reach people who want to talk about it I thought I could take the first step.
