Like, sure, he’s a piece of shit but he’s really only an annoyance now. You’ve grown used to beating his ass when he tries to bother you. But you’ve been through pretty much every hell this town has available and it’s hard to be okay with that happening to someone else.

So you reach out to Landry, ask him to put a few feelers out. He does so once you give him adequate payment and you’re quick to follow up on the lead. Only, you wind up in the underground brothel. You’ve been here before. Some of the victims you knew before are gone, you pray that they made it out like you did. Others are still there, glassy eyed like loving dolls.

And you see him. He looks so different. Not at all like you’re used to. Though to be fair, you weren’t well after your first stay here either.

It takes weeks of planning, enduring, surviving. If only because it’s difficult to get near him long enough for you to use your methods to get out. But you do it. You get both of you out.

You take him to the orphanage instead of to the hospital. You don’t want to risk him going to the asylum. It’s tricky, keeping him hidden from Bailey. But you’re used to taking care of Robin so taking care of Whitney is… similar. Only that if robin was an injured bird, Whitney was an injured alley cat; hissing and spitting and so very, very scared. But you manage it. You get him patched up. Let him stay until he can leave.
