LIPS TURNED DOWN IN A FROWN , aurora mindlessly swirled the purple boba at the bottom of her cup around in circles . “ i'm conflicted , ” she said on a sigh. “ i think my building is h a u n t e d and i'm not sure if i'm being paranoid or if i should move . ” she was honestly more inclined to pack her things and find somewhere else to live , but she adored her apartment — it had everything she could possibly look for .. and apparently something she definitely did not want , as well.

               he’s  looking  at  his  phone  screen,  a  tabloid  pulled  up  with  a  headline  stating  he’s  once  again  on  the  one  night  stand  train  with  a  photo  of  someone’s  back  and  a  woman  infront  of  them.  with  no  other  photo  provided,  he  can’t  help  but  let  out  a  chuckle  that  vibrates  his  throat,  head  shaking  from  side  to  side.  “  —  ah.  tabloids.  just  assume  it’s  roman,  you  know,  sluttin’  it  up.  ”  not  a  far  fetched  assumption,  although  he  could  be  hooked  up  to  a  lie  detector  this  moment  and  pass  easily  —  that  man  in  the  photo  was  definitely  not  him.  everyone  knew  his  hotel  of  choice  was  the  ritz.

⸻⸻⸻  it  isn't  too  late  ,  but  it's  dark  out  when  raine  finishes  up  the  last  of  her  meetings  ,  her  brain  just  a  hair's  breadth  from  shutting  down  and  body  aching  to  sink  into  the  plush  mattress  of  her  california  king  .  she  clicks  her  tongue  ,  a  text  from  her  driver  reading  sorry  ,  i'll  be  late  ,  and  in  retrospect  regrets  not  having  driven  to  work  herself  .  she  turns  around  to  wait  inside  the  building  ,  and  is  startled  by  a  figure  behind  her  .     “  jesus  !  ⸻  what  the  fuck  ,  dude  ?  you  scared  the  shit  out  of  me  !  ”

‟ how much is it gonna take for you to come dance with me? ” the brunette questions after stealing a spot beside them, her usual soft smile on her lips. ‟ and don't you dare think about tellin' me no. you look way too nice to be sittin' around here, in a corner, doin' nothin'. ”

           champagne  glass  is  emptied  then  discarded  on  passing  tray,   she  needed  all  the  liquid  courage  to  endure  the  boredom  inducing  small  talk.  spotting  a  window  of  opportunity  at  the  bar  across  the  room  raven  haired  actress  slips  away,  ignoring  the  questionable  looks  as  she  zigzags  across  the  venue  in  dangerously  high  heels.  she'd  have  a  word  with  vivi  later;  the  stylist  required  a  reminder  so  it  appeared.   “  god,  i  can't  deal  with  another  mind  numbing  conversation  about  women  in  the  arts,  ”  she  mutters  to  no  one  in  particular,  flagging  down  the  bartender  to  order  a  fruity  drink.   “   i  mean  it  would've  been  fine  if  the  people  starting  the  conversation  weren't  ancient  crusty  white  men.  ”

"had someone ask for a selfie with me today. thought, wow, i'm kinda getting famous for real, huh? when i was walking away, though, i heard them telling their friends that oh my god, they just took a photo with some guy in a boy band who is definitely not me." he chuckles. "i guess i needed that to keep me humble." sighing, they ask, "have you been mistaken for someone else too or am i just that much of a flop?"

        cigarette  is  poised  in  left  hand  —  a  nasty  habit  developed  in  her  teen  years  that  said  fuck  you  to  the  cult  like  health  culture  embedded  in  the  city,  as  she  reclines  lazily  in  chair.  despite  opting  out  of  annual  white  party  nesrin  is  SUFFERING  through  a  hangover,  prada  sunglasses  heroically  shielding  exhausted  optics  from  the  harsh  sun.  “  god,   please  tell  me  i'm  not  suffering  alone.  ”  while  peering  over  tinted  shades  her  free  hand  massages  tension  radiating  in  temples.  “  i'm  thinking  i'll  have  to  break  things  off,  don  julio  is  an  evil  bastard.  ”

"oh my god, the service in here is terrible," miyeon lets out with a sigh, lifting her phone up dramatically as if it would help her get another bar. perhaps the straight shots of vodka she'd taken in order to make sure her white dress remained its intentional color. though she steadies herself, eyes glued to her phone in an attempt to look anything but tipsy right now. she wants to curl up into a ball thinking about the possible headlines. is our new blair really just another serena? as if miyeon hasn't prided herself on being a headband-wearing brunette bitch for months already. she shoots a glance to the person beside her, surveying if it was a safe space to speak. though regardless of her conclusion, she breaks the noise just moments later. "do you think it would be really inappropriate to uber eats some food?" she asks, shutting her phone for a moment and letting out a sigh. "i just can't with the finger stuff they have going on. it's so like... 2012, you know?"
