"Yeah." JJ said, observing the way the kooks talk about everyone's families in the open while eating. "The parents are worse than their kids. They gossip about other kook families right in front of the staff. We get the news on the latest broke kook or this kook's dad getting sued. It never ends. JJ wasn't about to drop names. "You probably already know from eavesdropping on your parents." He joked, how could she not? The older kooks didn't have tact when came to each other. At least the pogues and kooks solved their problems with their fist.

"Oh, my mother tries so hard to make sure we don't know anything. But word does get around even in hushed whispers." She nods her head slowly. Even a joke it holds truth! " It's so funny how they will smile in each other's faces but behind their backs? I guess Bowling for Soup was right, high school never ends."

"Oh, okay, that explains it." He chuckles some more. Honestly, he hasn't felt this good about talking to someone in a while, just playful and carefree. He doesn't always want to be that grumpy laced up too tight guy, but a lot of the times that's who he feels like he has to be.

It's really tough work, but he's got the mind for it. If anyone can do it, Conrad Fisher is the one that can. "Thanks, my mom is too." He tells her, even though his mom is rooting for him on the other side, but he's not going to drop that bomb on Grace.

He also likes learning, probably a good thing considering his major. "I do too, I like when I have to really think about the stuff I'm learning too." It's invigorating. "Top Hats and Teacups. That sounds like a book store, or like. . . I don't know, it almost gives Alice in Wonderland vibes." He chuckles again.

When he speaks of his mom she smiles more. She doesn't know it but they have that in common - she lost hers at the age of six. She remembers...very little about her mom. But she remembers how badly it hurt her dad. But that is too heavy, and right now they are enjoying the conversation of family, school, and her showing off the shop her father has.

"Yeah, I suggested a book store but I was then accused of wanting that for my own benefit. Start reading at a college level when you're seven and find a love of books and suddenly you're being accused of some kind of potential extortion." It wasn't to brag, but to make a joke and laugh with the guy she's claiming as her new friend.

He says it gives Alice in Wonderland vibes and she smirks. " Which fits, because my dad had the nickname The Mad Hatter growing up. He always tried to make top hats happen. Plus he read that to me so much when I was younger, I'm surprised my name isn't Alice." Though for the better, she thought. She's not sure she could pull off being an Alice.

Soft ocean eyes rove over Cece's face as she speaks his name the way she does. "Hmm?" He watches her for a moment before she shakes her head and tells him that she could never be in love with someone else. His heart does this flutter in his chest when she tells him that and he can't help the smile that grows.

Leaning down, he kisses her before she jumps into his arms and he ends up breaking the kiss and spinning her around before setting her back down on her feet. "I think I'll remember that." He tells her with a chuckle.
