We r on our memoir units in English and I wrote this this short story is called grippy socks

They made me take off my shoes. We weren't allowed laces. They gave me a pair of turquoise socks with a grip on the bottom so I wouldn't slip on the cold hospital floor. The feeling of grippy socks usually instills joy cause it means ur about to go into the trampoline at sky zone but for me it meant needles, blood test and urine samples. Grippy socks for me meant that I wasn't safe not from someone else but from myself. Grippy socks meant it was time to take my meds. It meant a month's worth of calluses on my feet.
