|| Get to know STAR BUTTERFLY who’s TWENTY-ONE years old and a JUNIOR in college majoring in FOLKLORE. She is from MEWNI and is often times mistaken for SABRINA CARPENTER while others say she reminds them of STAR from STAR VS THE FORCES OF EVIL. || 

“what a coincidence, me too!” she said before laughing awkwardly. “i mean this one time i started a bl-never mind. i mean, i have an entire collection of stories from mewni to share if you ever want me to really talk your ear off about my mistakes.” she shook her head. “on the bright side, you’re cute. hot, even. so like every mistake you make can be canceled out because hot girls don’t make mistakes, they just live their lives to the fullest. i swear someone told me that once....” @mizzprouds

“i will admit it, you are excellent at hiding, but i like to think i know some of your hiding spots. and i asked riley just to double check.” she sat next to him. “why are you hiding out here? do i have to blast someone into oblivion with my magic? because i would do that for you any day, billy.” even if magic was a sort of touchy subject for her right now. she wouldn’t care for the his sake. “i also would like to say it is very comfy here. do you hide here a lot?” @bingbongbilly

star thought about it for a little bit. poppy always said smart things like that and she really had no idea why that was. “maybe it’s because they don’t wanna see us enjoy them being happy after the kiss? maybe too many problems happen? what if the big kiss is it??” she bit her lip. if the big kiss was it did that mean she was doomed? doomed for one romantic gesture of pure bliss before it all went wrong? that happened with tom, now that she thought about it. the more time they were together, the more hell that came afterwards. “poppy, do things go wrong after the big kiss? is that all romance is? a big moment and then garbage? people getting bored, fighting, realizing they made a mistake??” she thought about bily. things were weird but they had that big moment didn’t they? getting married? “poppy.....” @artsandpoppy

of all the things star could have done at that party, she went and married billy. she didn’t think that was bad, and she didn’t think it was exactly what she meant to do, but it happened and she needed to talk to billy about it. she knew it wasn’t official legally, but that didn’t mean it didn’t still feel very real. she hadn’t spoken to her parents since the blizzard but now she really wasn’t going to answer their calls until she sounded like she had her life under control. she didn’t. but she was going to try to. so she made her way to the home billy lived at, sent him a text that she was outside, and waited. she rocked on her heels as she waited, fiddling with her hair. she was feeling a lot and she knew she had to be serious but when she was with billy she felt like she could be her...but she had to push through the instincts to ask to be held. not until she knew what they were doing.

Even someone like Billy, who spends almost all of his time with his head in the clouds, could tell that every since the blizzard Star hadn’t been quite herself. It had been scary seeing her so weak and exhausted, and sometimes when she smiles now Billy is pretty sure it doesn’t quite meet her eyes. He’s determined to change that though, to make sure she has the best night ever.  “Oh wow, what are the parties like there?” Billy asks excitedly, always loving to hear more about the magical land Star is from. “Hmmm…” Taking a moment to think about his options, Billy looks between the dance floor and the bar before grabbing Star’s hands. “Let’s dance first,” he decides, leaning her out to the dance floor.

Star squeezed his hand reassuringly as he led her to the dancefloor, trying to keep up with their conversation as they kept moving. With Billy, things were always moving, and Star appreciated that. “Back at Mewni, they were boring as heck. The dancing was organized, the clothes were itchy, and the music was boring.” Once they were on the dance floor she took his hands and maneuvered them so that one was in her hand and the other on her shoulder. She mirrored them, and started moving them around in a classic waltz. “The only thing from those parties that were helpful was that I learned how to dance. That’s it.”

It’s hardly any shock to Billy that he’s one of the last people still in the street. Most people had the good sense to start heading home as soon as the snow started to come down heavier than usual, but he got so caught up in the magic that he didn’t even think of it. “Oh well I was thinking of building a snow fort with Riley, and maybe like a snowman to guard it?” he shrugs, knowing that Star would never judge him for that. “But then it got really snowy and I couldn’t find them so now I’m on my way home.” It’s not the best excuse, since a snow fort could definitely wait until tomorrow, but he got too excited as soon as the snow started to fall, just like a small child would. “Wait, why are you still out here?” he asks, giving her a tight squeeze as she shivers, her teeth chattering together from the cold. “I can definitely do that.” Always excited to see the magic she can do, Billy doesn’t hesitate to pull back from the hug so he can take Star’s hands in his. “Does this help?”

Star just smiled at his story. It was so good and so Billy; she could never fault him for that. The snow would excite her too if it wasn’t her fault it was coming down so hard. She just wanted snow to be fun for everyone at the festival....and now it was fun for no one. Once she felt his hands in hers she started regaining feeling in her hands a little more than before. He was so warm and she was so cold and she didn’t understand how someone was just always so warm. She closed her eyes so that she could try and focus on making cloudy appear and when it happened she felt herself almost faint from attempting. “Quickly....let’s get on before it disappears....I don’t really have any more magic in me right now.”

tiana finds it’s rare that she ever gets a moment to herself. her free time from work easily consumed with homework and other responsibilities, she hardly ever considers it ‘free time’. but, with the end of the semester quickly approaching and the work load growing steadily heavier tiana decided to take one free day to herself before she found herself buried under text books and final papers. sitting on the couch with stella curled up next to her, tiana flicks through the recommendations on Netflix. unsurprisingly, the thing that grabs her attention isnt something the streaming service has to offer but rather the lound banging at the front door. Stella jumps up first, whining in mild confusion before she jumps down from the couch and runs to the door as if she could protect tiana and the house from whatever is there. tiana follows behind closely, practically jogging to the door once she hears star’s voice. “star honey,” tiana smiles as she opens the door and Stella runs up to greet the blonde, tail wagging happily as the dog sees the familiar face. “is everything alright?” she’s not necessarily surprised to see her, star had always just done whatever her heart wished, but she can’t help but a little concerned each time they meet lile tbis.

star nodded her head, almost confused as to why tiana would ask, even though she did every time. it was nice having a friend who was not only warm and talented and sweet, but also one who cared about her well-being without mothering her too hard. tiana was like a cool mom friend, and star loved that about her. “i was hungry and i thought who makes the best food? who can i bake with? and then it hit me! tiana!” she grinned at her. “plus we could cuddle on the couch while things are baking and that sounded super nice and like the perfect way to spend my free time. did i catch you at a bad time? are you busy? got a boy here? girl?” she never wanted to be that person and interrupt quality time between two people. “i can totally go if you’re busy.”

Ever since coming back to the island Billy has done everything he can to make as many friends as possible. Whether it’s reconnecting with people he hasn’t seen or spoken to since he was ten years old, or trying to get to know each and every single newcomer personally ( an impossible task but one he’s certainly trying to accomplish ) there isn’t anyone Billy doesn’t want to be around. But there’s no hiding that he has his favourites, and Star just so happens to be one of them. The second he receives a text from her he’s out of the house and on his way to meet her, no questions asked about her plans for the day. He’s more than happy to figure that out once he sees her.

Even on his way to meet her Billy lets his mind wander as he walks the short distance, head in the clouds like it always is. Off in his own little world, he doesn’t notice the blonde until she’s calling his name. Jumping a little at the sound ( he’s still not used to people that willingly choose to capture his attention ) it only takes him a second to recognize her bright, bubbly voice. “Staaaaaar!” he calls his name back in the same excited, drawled out way, letting out an excited laugh as he approaches her. “Hi!” Bouncing happily on the balls of his feet as he finally stops in front of her, it’s hard to contain his excitement around Star. She’s such a ball of sunshine, his already good mood soars the second she’s around.

The moment he was in front of her she was wrapping her arms around his waist since she was too short to reach his neck, and hugging him tightly. There was nothing that a hug from Billy couldn’t fix and since he was normally fine with her clinging, she did, burying her face into his chest and letting herself feel as down as she did feel before finally pulling away to look at him with another half-fake smile on her face. “How are you? How are the roommates?” she asked, trying to move her mind to something different, something lighter. It was easy to feel light as air around Billy though, he was so good and so kind. A perfect escape. “Did you wanna go anywhere specfic? Or just walk until we find somewhere fun? We could travel by clo-” she stopped herself. Traveling via cloudy was the best way to go but with how her day was going she was sure to mess that up. “Whatever you want. I’m just happy to see you.”

Honey was more then pleased to have the partner she did. No matter the outcome the experience was going to be something to remember as well as a good time. That was all that really mattered in these things anyways. As the girl went off she laughed. “I mean … I do have a few things I can come up with to really add a spark to this ? Just small explosion . I would hate to accidentally mess someone else up if it was too much.”
