like, man- nightmare must’ve been so…broken to know he made ccino feel so bad during his corruption, because headcanon time! (what i personally headcanon is that) what passive feels is filtered by his corrupted self, so when ccino showed affection and attachment, he just thought that he did because was desperate, that he was only paying thought to him because he simply lost everyone, not that he really cared; i mean, who would willingly want to spend time with the god of negativity right?

how guilty would you feel like if you mentally abused someone who you, very deep in yourself, cared about? putting the ‘if he forgave you’ aside, would he really be able to forgive himself?

that’s where killer comes in this

night doesn’t know what to think about he and ccino being together again, because he can’t help but feel guilty of all the hurt he inflicted on the other, and ccino doesn’t want to step into nightmare’s life if the other wasn’t ready yet, but killer couldn’t JUST sit there and watch as his lover’s crush was slipping between his fingers and when the other needed someone close to him; his problems and troubles being too much to handle on his own; so he did what he thought would fix everything

he didn’t want to force everyone into a relationship (not that he and night were even official) but what he could do was make them all hang out as friends

they had to get to know each other in their true form, without any filters, to be able to properly fall for each other if it was even possible
