Whatever he expected to see this was not it. He doesn’t even know what the hell is going here which is why he freezes at the door when he comes upon the scene. “What the—” He doesn’t even finish because he can figure out just a few things on his own without having to ask too many questions. Not that he wanted to. The last thing he wished to do was to get overly involved in whatever was going on before him. He could already feel a headache coming. He was going to get involved anyway, wasn’t he?

Snow once again blanketed their small town, a typical winter in South Park. Dressed warmly Stan went out to meet Wendy, they were going to catch a movie together A date? He sure hoped that’s what it was. It almost felt like starting over. Although he knew he’d have to put up with the teasing from his friends if that came to be. Still, he loved Wendy enough to tolerate it. He had done so before. And he finds himself already looking forward to seeing her.

On the way to the theatre, he ends up stopping at a cafe. Some hot cocoa would help keep him warm on his walk to the theatre. He had time, he had told himself. In his excitement, he had left home a little early after all. Of course what he doesn’t expect is to see that Wendy was early too. As he got to the theatre he saw her standing just outside waving at him as he got closer. Once he’s within reach she takes his cup of hot cocoa from his hand.

He doesn’t protest because he honestly doesn’t mind, but he does find his gaze shifting away from Wendy’s face opting not to watch her take a sip from the cup of hot cocoa. His cup of hot cocoa. The one he had his own lips pressed against just a few moments earlier. A hand is brought up to his face as he feels it heating up with embarrassment. Was it stupid for him to get flustered over this? They had kissed before after all...

Stan had taken care to get all the boxes of ornaments his family owned from the storage shed. No, they weren’t exactly Christmas obsessed but through the years they had made something of a small collection for themselves. It was a little embarrassing for Kyle to see, He knew one of the boxes had to contain some dumb ornaments he had painted himself when he was like four or five. He hoped he got to those first before Kyle did.

“Okay, I think we’re supposed to put the lights on first?” 

Luckily locating the lights was easy enough but unfortunately, they were a tangled mess of different sets with different bulbs and colors, which is why when he was attempting to get one set out he was pretty much dragging the rest of the lights with it out of the box.

There was no reason for Stan to believe that Scott would be standing outside his front door. After all, he hadn’t seen him in weeks, and he didn’t give him much thought. Why would he when he hated him. That was the gist of it. That was what compromised whatever they had going. Honestly, he doesn’t know what it is. Why Scott had a penchant for acting like a total asshole. Maybe it was in the genes. It would certainly explain a lot...

And now he was getting the surprise of a lifetime.

Typically he would meet Scott’s sudden appearance with aloof disdain and get through the encounter trying to tolerate Scott’s antics. At least in hopes, it would get the redhead away from him quickly. 

However today he meets Scott with confusion. What the fuck was he looking at. He closes his eyes, but it’s too late. He saw. Disgust etches on his features and he rapidly develops a queasy feeling that he takes a moment to overcome with a hand over his mouth. A long silence follows before he finally speaks up.
