i didn’t plan on making a deluxe album. i thought i was just writing my next record, but when i conceptualized my next album these songs seemed to kinda exist in a space between cherry valley and what’s next….almost like a road out. and i think i knew that subconsciously cause some of the songs are alluded to on the cherry valley map hehe. so anyway because of you guys and yall loving cherry valley as much as i do, i thought id extend its life just a tad longer. so we cut the songs only like a couple weeks ago. and while we were in california for my show at the roxy, me lily and kennady and our new friend dillon went to laurel canyon for an hour and shot some film. it felt a little freeing after the candy coated world of cherry valley that was extremely meticulous, but still in the same universe. i wore a dress i got at the rosebowl the day before, and the man selling it told me he bought it from a woman who showed him a picture of her breastfeeding her baby in it in the 70s. period.
