I always say my favorite thing I’ve found through travel is scuba diving. But its not. The best thing I’ve discovered is that thing when you swim out past where the swell is crashing so you’re just floating over the waves before they turn white. When you’re floating with your legs facing open endless and you’re flat and you look. Thats my favorite thing I’ve experienced traveling. Its like blue green fabric just blowing over you and you’re some kind of ghost that is drifting through it not affecting anything. Its just your body and fabric for endlessness. That is my favorite discovery.

Everytime I see the ocean after some time away its like a gulp of air when I didn’t know I’d been holding my breath. One day I’ll live beside it and I’ll get to breathe everyday.

When i fall in love that relationship better not be the center of my life. Having a partner is about improving each others lives, supporting each others goals, loving each other. They will not be the center of it. They will be my cheerleader, my shoulder, my rock and my best friend. They will not be my entire life. I am my entire life. I will not find a better half, i am whole on my own and I have no holes to fill.

Everyone blogs now. I have meaningful thoughts but writing them down is such a fleeting thought. I do want to write about today though. Today might have been my first travel day in Australia that is the kind of travel day I live for. When it’s just breath taking. I had one of those days in Poland when I went to the quarry with Adam and Matt and we brought wine and cheese and sat on this beautiful cliff overlooking the water. The most breathtaking thing is always the people though. Today I woke up hungover and then I went to Palm Cove with Kielly. We smoked and talked and sat in the sun and ate ice cream and it was so calm and beautiful. Then we smoked some more and went on a rainforest walk. Cairns is the most causally breathtaking place I have ever lived. I have yet to see a view, man made or nature made that is more beautiful than a kind soul. People are the catalyst to everything. Being lonesome is one thing but being surrounded by people that steal your energy and steal your light is painful. You lose yourself in trying to exist in a way that will make them comfortable. Travel for me isn’t for finding a new place and seeing new things. Those things are awesome but that all they are is things. Material possessions and experiences are awesome. But people are the best. I’ve met so many amazing souls. Jane from Russia, Ed and Freya from England, the girl whose name I don’t remember that gave me her seat on the train to Krakow. These people are doing the same thing I am. They aren’t seeking anything. They’re not looking to heal themselves. We are all just enjoying each other and the world. People are beautiful.
